You probably have an easy-to-remember spot in your home or office, the place where you put your keys, your charging tech, favorite pen - the necessary tools that need to be within easy reach throughout your day. Sometimes it's in the middle of your desk, next to the front door, on the kitchen counter, next to your bed ...or all of the above!
Organizing your daily tools is important, and is the driving inspiration behind the creation of Blox.
A place for everything & everything in it's place! Blox are a beautifully simple, highly-customizable system of modules that are designed to take everyday personal tool organization from random & chaotic to beautiful & useful.
CNC sculpted from solid, sustainably-sourced Walnut and Maple, each Blox module has an embedded set of magnets that allow them to be firmly joined together when needed, but easily rearranged or added to as your needs, tools and spaces evolve. With Blox, you can build your own personal organizational system, tuned to fit your needs!
We all have our own set of 'tools', a necessary collection of things to get us through our day, whether at home or at the office. We created Blox for you to build your own ideal tool organization solution for any location - office, kitchen, bedside table, front door.
Blox can be organized in any order with any number of modules in length - how you arrange your Blox is up to you!
Have a suggestion for a module you think we should add? Let's hear it, we'd love to know what you think as well as how you imagine putting Blox to work!
We have been producing wood products for over 10 years now and are very familiar with both the production processes and the shops that produce them for us. Wood is a interesting material work with it's own personality; each piece is truly unique!
Predicting shipping the schedule is always difficult, however, without knowing exactly how many pieces we'll be producing. We’re confident we will be able to BEGIN shipping in October with ongoing shipments as finished Blox modules are completed:
Our default worldwide shipping method will be by US Post. We've had a high success rate with USPS on past projects, but please note that it will not include tracking beyond the US border. We'd be happy to help make alternative shipping arrangements with tracking at an additional cost if you require.
Our name 'Onehundred' comes from the 100 mile radius around our Saxonville, MA studio where we seek out interesting, talented New England manufacturers, assuring that we can spend time getting to know them, their experience, machines and capabilities. Many of them are 50+ years old, multi-geneneration owned, industrial revolution-era factories.
Our neighborhood-made philosophy improves not only quality and attention to detail, it also cuts the carbon footprint by as much as 60%! We've successfully shipped over 12,000 pledge rewards to 78 countries from our past 19 campaigns; welcome, world!
Risks and challenges
We have been working with all of our local shops for several years now. They do quality work and being close, we're able to visit them often to discuss any production issues as they arise. The biggest risk to beginning shipping on the stated date, thought, is their production capacity and scheduling of other work at the time of our actual order. We never know in advance how many pieces we'll need to produce or if our shops will have an opening for our project.
For those of you who are new to our projects, we have a lot of product development, manufacturing & crowdfunding delivery experience. We love working with our crowdfunding community, communicate often and take good care of our backers. This is our 20th crowdfunding campaign, we're looking forward to many more!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
