3rd party non-biased reviews
Thanks for checking out One Drunk Night…!
By now you have read the opening description, seen a few pictures, looked at the funding goal, and might have a few preconceptions about the game. Let’s deal with the obvious questions directly.
-- “Oh, is this just another Cards Against Humanity clone?”
-- “That goal is too low, do you understand how much is needed?”
-- “Did I see this game on Kickstarter a couple of years ago?”
We would love to have One Drunk Night... in retail locations. If you are a retailer please email us at AtomicChildrenGames@gmail.com to inquire about retail pricing.
Shipping: will be collected after the close of the project through a pledge manager, which saves us both money. Currently the threatened US tariffs on games manufactured in China are on hold, but we might have to add a small fee to the shipping costs if they become active.
EU Backers: We will be splitting the VAT and import cost with each EU backer when we calculate shipping as well as make sure you will not have to pay any additional fees to customs when you receive your delivery. To be clear you will be charged normal shipping to your country + half the VAT and import costs.
• Aug - Sept: Design tweaks to the boxes and cards as well as making one last quality assurance pass to the text of each card. This time will also be spent prepping everything for printing. Anybody with the pledge level Wastedman will receive their old prototype copies (cards only) and will have the opportunity to join us in a 30 minute online session to create their own cards. Additionally, we will work with our pledge manager to figure out pricing and logistics on shipping to various countries.
• Oct - Nov: Work with manufacturing for test prints and approval. Any additional tweaks will be done during this time. Backer surveys will be sent out to confirm rewards and addresses and shipping fees will be collected.
• Dec - March: Our printing company will then print your games and ship it to our fulfillment company, Amplifier, right here in Austin.
• Apr: Amplifier will receive and ship your order. They ensure a fast turnaround. Rewards should arrive at your door by the end of April.
Risks and challenges
We are taking every precaution to ensure you will get quality rewards in a timely manner.
The game design is complete and ready to ship. However, we are always looking for ways to tweak the design, fix typos, and hopefully add some new elements based on funded stretch goals, so we budgeted time of this in the delivery schedule.
We have sourced multiple printing companies with well-known reputations in the board game community such as Long Pack and Boda Games. Each manufacturer has a demonstrated history of printing card-based games and can maintain both the quality and the price required to make this game a reality.
Amplifier is a 3rd party logistics company in our home city of Austin founded over 15 years ago. We are planning to have them handle the domestic fulfillment as not only are they one of the best fulfillment companies, but also having them near home will allow us to personally check and maintain quality. Amplifier can handle high volume, has a history of a quick turnaround times, and has worked with multiple project from multiple crowdfunding sites.
Our budget has considered multiple funding levels, unforeseeable expenses, and even the potential effect rumored import tariffs would have to ensure we have contingencies in place and can fulfill our promises to our backers and get everyone their rewards.
We take your support seriously and will treat your contribution like our own. Please feel free to ask any questions.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
