In our opinion, the ONAK has several advantages over an inflatable canoe.
The ONAK canoe is a lot faster and slides through the water much more easily than any inflatable canoe. This is especially thanks to the shape and very stiff design.
Just like a traditional canoe, the ONAK sits in the waters a little deeper than an inflatable canoe. The ONAK also has a quite low profile above the water, which makes it a great performer on flat water, even with an unfavorable wind. All of this without affecting its whitewater performance.
The material of the ONAK is also tough and can handle scratches and bumping into rocks. Inflatables usually have material that sticks to the rocks and thus rips more easily.
Besides, it is easy to assemble and disassemble without any tools. Inflatables always require you to carry a pump and are often cumbersome to pack again.
Our material is fully recyclable, in contrast to the polyester and PU materials used in other foldable boats.
Finally, the ONAK is easy to transport and to store. Most inflatables are very bulky and an inflatable that is comparable in size will always be much heavier.
