Fleksy Keyboard - Invisible Mode !!

So what's the big deal about this Fleksy keyboard that we (dare to) put up as the $800K stretch goal? There are plenty of keyboards, many predictive keyboards, and we know everyone has their favorite keyboard. We're not asking you to switch keyboards, by all means keep using your favorite - you can install them and switch between multiple keyboards including the standard Android keyboard that comes standard.

All those keyboards doesn't have this that Fleksy has - Invisible Mode !! It's Magical.

With invisible mode, the whole screen becomes your keyboard, invisibly. Your app gets full screen instead of having part of it blocked by the onscreen keyboard. You get to see more of your app, more of your content, more of your text, more of your messages, more of what you are typing... simply just more!

So we can get very excited when we see cool technology and a very useful one too for Smartwatches. TrueSmart is testing and working with Fleksy, leading the definition of Smartwatch 2.0, setting the standards. Help us/everyone to reach that $800K and be the first to define invisible keyboard for Smartwatch 2.0. Cool?

ps. the watch used is a prototype, not the final design wartch. For the final design watch photos, check on the main page of Kickstarter and social media.

pps. another feature of Fleksy I personally found useful is the swipe up/down to change the predictive text/word selection. I say "personally" here because keyboard is a personal habit.

Go Go Go, your shares and comments on news articles and social media is working - thanks!! - we are on a pick-up of momentum. Keep it up. Let's score the 720K, then the 800K & 900K we can get there!! --- 9 Days and counting.

Have you guys considered something like the original Palm graffiti? It would be more suitable for such small detection area. Maybe slower than a full keyboard but at least you don't have to look at the watch for entering short text.

I think it should be 70% transparent, so I can see which letter to type.

    6. Creator Lara Hudson on September 10, 2013

Does fleksy have variable transparency?I think it would be useful being able to see both the screen and keyboard.

I tested Fleksy on my regular phone (HTC One X) - the preview version is available for everyone to download, so you can try it out yourself. It's actually quite awesome, download it and try and you will quickly notice how the "invisible mode" works (it also has modes with regular keyboards showing on the screen). It has quite good success rate on guessing what you're typing, and if you get it wrong, changing the last word is also easy. Very impressed with it, hope the Omate TrueSmart will ship with it :)

@Wouter Van Goey, cool!!! Could be :-) not too sure who contacted whom first but it's awesome Omate and Fleksy found each other.

@Alberto Navero, the keys are still there, just invisible. Very quickly you'll know where to hit for what keys and of course the predictive text helps with words. It's very easy to swipe up/down to change the predicted words. Very cool new way of typing especially for smartwatches. Your trusty old standard Android keyboard is still there so you can always have all your keyboards active and switch between the keyboards on the fly easily. We want to bring in new technology. Remember when onscreen keyboard was new in phones, and some people said it won't take off because no one wanted to type on screen? (Remember Blackberry?)

Did you guys find out about Fleksy through my comment on the 'reading & sending messages' update? http://goo.gl/1CRUa0

I do not understand how it works!
If you can not see the letters.
