Ok, so I got word back from Belgian customs. I'll have to pay an extra 60€ to get my watch.
This contains VAT, customs charges and a 15€ fine because the value was marked as 10$ :(

    2. Creator Goc Von Višnjevac on May 12, 2014

Strip micro usb end and use tape to connect it to battery...

    3. Creator Goc Von Višnjevac on May 12, 2014

If your watch hit the 0% battery level you have to charge battery using external charger.

      You can even make one...
All you need us micro usb cable/ wall charger and 10amph resistent (try to google it,.maybe I'm wrong about the resistent size...

    4. Creator Stan Sokol on May 12, 2014

The funny that nothing, just wanted to see the time, pressed the power button and it just shut down..

    5. Creator Nicholas Pires on May 12, 2014

@Stan - What did you do to it?

    6. Creator Stan Sokol on May 12, 2014

Well it finally happened. After working for couple of days omate 2100 1-8gb just decided to die. Does not respond to switching batteries or anything, just flashes the screen for a second and can't get it into recovery mode...

    7. Creator Jack Ng on May 12, 2014

@Omate, I have sent you back my defective TS, after that no one replied my email and confirm me when you will send me back the replacement unit. Please give me the timeline for the replacement unit or send me back my money.

Happy with the watch itself, but I did not receive the extra charge cradle/cable that I paid extra for :-(

    11. Creator Rajesh on May 12, 2014

I would download ROM directly to TS (from xda) or use wifi file transfer app.

    15. Creator mithrilz on May 12, 2014

      Need some help here.
I connected TS to pc and its able to detect 2 removable drives but i cannot access both of them.
It prompt me to insert disk.
Tried to install Loki's rom but unable to proceed as i cannot access the drive.

    19. Creator Gary Leach on May 12, 2014

@Kent - Sorry I meant 'open the base of the cube'.

    20. Creator Gary Leach on May 12, 2014

@Kent 0 With regard to having no charger that sucks. At least I got one. Not being rude but I take it you did one up the base of the cube that contains the watch ?

    21. Creator Kai on May 12, 2014

      @Omate:
I am not on any of the list. I also have not received any E-Mail or tracking number yet.
Does this mean, I will get that Aluminum Version of the TS?

    22. Creator Kent Bolton on May 11, 2014

@Ruch - I never received any tracking number or email regarding the postage - - the watch just arrived.

    23. Creator Ruch on May 11, 2014

@Kent Bolton what was your tracking number, trying to see where mine is. It has been stuck in Singapore since April 24th. My name was in the same list as yours, no tracking number received via email, i got it only after posting here.

    24. Creator Walter Pietzuch on May 11, 2014

@Quintin I have my TS now a few days, but its outdated. It is too heavy, the alumina equivalent version from Simvalley was on stock for weeks, so i am pissed off. Bluetooth sucks, wifi range is too limited, volume control jumps, no notification settings, battery drains too quickly, the camera is crap / app stalls, omate faces is not really lockscreen enabled, charging craddle has no contact w/o add. pressure. Typical Shenzen crap, not really a quality product. This is potentially the reason why big companies would offer such thing, not to ruin their name. So they launch these small companies, like Omate, to encapsulate the shit and not spill their own name.

    25. Creator Walter Pietzuch on May 11, 2014

@thg i must regret but i think omate was lying to us, or they've got used to this typical Shenzen type of crap business where specs are not so important, but parties are more important. They should have known what's technically possible, for sure.

    26. Creator Alex Lam on May 11, 2014

      Name: Alex Lam

From Australia: Watch has just arrived, with 33% battery left. I was a developer edition October delivery 2100/8+4.

BIG PROBLEM: No charger, no extra charger, no extra battery. So watch will be useless in less than a day.

The box came from Swiss Post. It only contained the plastic cube the watch comes in. I did not receive a tracking number or notification before it arrived. Australia Post delivered the parcel to my door, requiring signature.

    29. Creator Filippo Parlacino on May 11, 2014

Guys this is not error is to be honest with those who believed on omate and supported him, even I have not received my TS at least the satisfaction of receiving a 'reply email with your clock will be' sent??

      P.s @omate where's my watch?

    31. Creator micheal smith on May 11, 2014

Laurent has taken to blocking people on Facebook and Google plus. Laurent has taken our money. Laurent has taken vacation to lots of countries. The only thing Laurent can't take it a joke. I really wished I hadn't annoyed him so much as I'm among a group who now believe he isn't going to send the watch out to us due to his dislike to our humor. I really don't think half of the original ks backers will back omate again. I certainly wouldn't. Laurent can't keep his personal life and business life separate.

    32. Creator Nils on May 11, 2014

@George, they have had a long time to learn from their mistakes, yet they keep making the same ones.
Also, I think they would rather announce the TS2 with a different name from a different account and would act as if they are a software company doing the first hardware project, and they have a lot of expertise by doing contracts for various companies requiring their expert knowledge, such as Omate and Pearl... That is why their knew TS2 "prototype" is actually a Simvalley/TS :)

    33. Creator George Simon A. on May 11, 2014

I am sure if TS2 would be announced on kickstarter today, more than half of the current backer would support Omate again. Even I would do so, although I haven't even received my watch yet. I am sure they have learned from their mistakes...

    34. Creator Stan Sokol on May 11, 2014

time to stop complaining) obviously Omate Co is working hard on the next version, after having tested beta-version on backers. It will come when it will come. Update with wrong shipping dates as usual wont help you much.

    35. Creator Manuel Hernando (deleted) on May 11, 2014

      @Omate

The only way of calming backers is making an update with the EXACT dates for anyone of us. Make a list with 2 columns (an Excel would be an easy way): backer name and expected date.

Just that. You are doing it very, very, very bad. Try to improving it from today!!

A shitty key ring that I can't for the life of me understand how anyone can't feel just a little bit pissed off with such a 'magnanimous gesture' notwithstanding that I'm unlikely to get the damned thing this side of 2015 at this rate.

Finally received my watch. Comes with all the extra I pledged. 1/8gb 2100 standard edition with 2 extra cradle. So total items I received are: 1 watch, 3 cradles, 1 extra battery, some extra screws and a pin, a omate sticker, and a simple guide. Only missing free key chain that omate promised. Don't need it anyway. Going to patch loki's patch 1st before start using. The box that it come with cracked but the watch is fine.

    40. Creator Michael on May 11, 2014

@Omate where is my watch, I have no communication from you, you don't reply to emails!

    41. Creator Quintin Balsdon on May 11, 2014

@thg omate has lied too many times to me had I know that:
      1. Omate was not the manufacturer of the watches
      2. That the watch would not be spec'd as advertised
      3. That they would delay by 9 months
      4. They they divided the watches into models and then serviced pre-orders for that model before moving on the next model

I would have a been a happy backer. I understand that this is investment and not product purchasing and as an investor, I feel it is my duty to make it as publicly visible as possible how dissatisfied I am with Omate. This is to protect the public interest so they can see how Omate treats their customers, for good or bad.

    42. Creator Nicholas Tate on May 10, 2014

Can you still swim with TS

    43. Creator Lokifish Marz on May 10, 2014

thg - Nothing directly but in general EOL=Dead. Seeing that we were told that the TS1 is ALREADY EOL and no longer a focus for Omate, I'd say chances are slim to none but I have been wrong in the past.

    44. Creator thg on May 10, 2014

      @Lokifish
      > A shower would fall within the parameters of IP67. That's
      > actually covered under a lower rating
I didn't said that it is good or acceptable, that IP67 is not met, for me it's the biggest problem during the project and adaption of the initial specs, but I can life with it.

      > 3MP and 1GHz was known when presented as 1.3GHz 5MP device
      > at CES. Doing such does technically qualify as lying.
I have no clue, why they didn't stated that and why they didn't updated their specs and you are absolutely right, saying, this this is not correct.
On the other hand, this is a quite irrelevant change, nobody will feel any difference, that it is mostly not worth mentioning it.

      > In emails with Omate, I do have the planned schedule for the TS2
I believe this, absolutely, but the "planned schedule" and the availability on the market are too quite different things, especially for Omate ;-)

      > as well as the statement that the TS1 is EOL.
That was to expect, I assume, that the TS1 is nothing more then the "Beta-version" of the TrueSmart. I'm fine with that, as it works mostly as it should.

Do you have any statement about the update to Android 4.3 or 4.4?
This for me would be elementary in future, because this will bring BT 4.0LE what is needed for most "sports-accessories".

If Omate cancel this, I finally would become quite mad too!

    45. Creator Lokifish Marz on May 10, 2014

@thg - A shower would fall within the parameters of IP67. That's actually covered under a lower rating

3MP and 1GHz was known when presented as 1.3GHz 5MP device at CES. Doing such does technically qualify as lying.

In emails with Omate, I do have the planned schedule for the TS2 as well as the statement that the TS1 is EOL.

    46. Creator thg on May 10, 2014

      @Luis
      > waterproof was one of their strongpoints in their kickstarter campain,
I know this, it was planned that it will exceed IP67 and swimming should be possible.

      > 8 months delay is normal in Kickstarter?
Yes, there where delays for a year, on project I baked was 6 month late (and not yet finished) the other one 5 month, so I would say, that 8 month are still within a "expected" delay - anyway I don't like it, but shit happens.

      > And their continuous lies to their backers are also normal?
They made many things wrong, probably internal and for sure with communication. But "to lie" is a strong word, I would never use, if I can not proof that they where lying.

And nobody outside Omate can proof that, you can assume it because of some circumstances, but "lying" means, that they know that they where saying something wrong. My personal feeling most times was, that they have been much too optimistic with what they where promising and didn't correct this immediately after they where aware of this. Yes, that is stupid and unprofessional.

      > TS2 is comming out in September!
Who knows this for sure (outside Omate)? Did they promised that? You believe that? It will be better that the TS1?

Finally I (and a lot of others) have their TS1 and as far as I read, most of them are excited about it. I do not want to wait for a TS2 that was promised to come out on September - maybe 2015!

    47. Creator Dean Shorter on May 10, 2014

Got mine yesterday, better late than never!
      Dev Edition October 2013 1GB/8GB/2100Mhz

    48. Creator Luis Gomez on May 10, 2014

@thg I know very well kickstarter and I know Im not buying a finished product, and you are wrong, because yes, I PAID, I used my money to support the development of a waterproof smartwatch, not to pay Mr Le Pen's travels, not to support whatever they want to do with my money, as being waterproof was one of their strongpoints in their kickstarter campain, did you miss it? So yes they are major changes, If they told us they will develop a waterproof watch we expect they to use our money developing it, not any kind of watch.

+and the delays are absolutely normal (not only) for KickStarter projects!
8 months delay is normal in Kickstarter? And their continuous lies to their backers are also normal? Dont make me laugh, please. I know very well this business and shit happens but not so often as Omate wanted us to believe. They always complain about others, but they wont admit, that they gave unreal dates of delivery or that they havent a infrastructure big enough to ship on time.

+I do not expect any better full-featured SmartWatch that comes on the market in the next months!

TS2 is comming out in September!

    49. Creator thg on May 10, 2014

      @Luis
      > I paid for a product
You didn't "paid", but funded or supported it and it was not a "product", it was a project, subject of change including all delays. And beside the planned waterproofness, the changes are absolutely minor, in no way you will recognize them.

If you want to pay for a product with promised features, you are wrong at KickStarter. Go to the next shop and buy what you need, if it does no do what was promised, you can bring it back and get (most of) your money back.

But this is not the way, KickStarter-projects work, if a "creater" is going to deliver a final product, that is more or less what was projected during the campaign, you have no "right" to get a refund. Omate refunds anyway, but they stated again and again, that refunds will be processed AFTER the shipment of TrueSmarts to all bakers.

The things at Omate mostly went wrong, because of their unacceptable and lousy communication, but everything else, including the change of the specification and the delays are absolutely normal (not only) for KickStarter projects!

BTW: the TrueSmart as is really, really nice and good quality product, and I do not expect any better full-featured SmartWatch that comes on the market in the next months!

    50. Creator Luis Gomez on May 10, 2014

@thg A serious company after these major changes would have said, guys we are sorry, but we cannot offer you what we expected, we are going to remplace these parts, we apreciate your support, so you can get a refund or an upgrade of your pledge, and many of us would have accepted, but NO, they didnt ask anyone they just upgraded the pledges and thats all. If you need help Omate's support doesnt answer any questions, if you receive a damaged watch, they wont answer and honestly I feel scammed but Im still lucky they didnt remplace the watch for a casio F-91W and a keychain.
