      Hey guys! My omate burned out less than 2 months after I got it. There was no system for replacement then. I came across it the other day, and now I'm curious if you guys are able to replace it? It sucks that I only got to use it for so short a time.

      Sorry, according to support you do not have any of the non-buckle side of the watchbands left (from comments on the internet it sounds like it broke more often.)

      Hi Blaine, as we mentioned many times via updates, comments and emails that since day 1 we offered our backers the same privileges as any of our pre-order customers which means we do offer a 1 year warranty.       I'm not sure why you would think you always take great care of your early backers. My strap broke within a year of receiving my Truesmart and I was never able to get a replacement strap from you, so I've had a $254 paperweight for over a year now (Since I added on some accessories that now have nothing to accessorize.)

      Despite receiving this watch in a brand new condition the watch lasted for only one week before lines permanently ran across the screen. Asked for support several times to the company to fix this problem and they Will Not respond, so therefore will not support their own products. Beware of Supporting this company you will only be left disappointed. Try Pebble Watches instead at least they Respect their customers.

      I want to talk about bad experiences with this company. I placed my order on the Kickstarter clock in 09 September 2013 and paid the Deposit
      September 9, 2013 $ 523, 2 pairs Omate® TrueSmart ™ . After a fairly long period of waiting and emails from them, such as a letter from April 23, 2014, " sorry for the delay, we are currently shipping 1 GB+8 GB US version, but 1 GB+8 GB version of the EU, we will ship the Kickstarter Edition first and as we were late for pre-orders, we will upgrade them to the new aluminum version that is 30% lighter and will be shipped in may. Thank you for your patience." . In the end ,I have notreceived my ORDER.. the Only thing I got EXPERIENCE to work with such companies who do not keep their promises. !!!

      @Ubaid, the magnetic TS+ Ocharger is not suitable for TS1 as it does not fit exactly the different shapes of the aluminum and stainless steel TS1 battery covers. You can forward your email to kickstarter@omate.com because support, partner and press accounts are very busy now with the Omate Rise announcement. They should get back to you faster than support.       @K you may contact support@omate.com to know the process to buy a new charging cradle. Some of our backers and preorder customers have bought extra Ochargers but we let you double with our support team if they have stock available. Thanks.

      anyone else having problems with their omate coming apart?

      Mine's been sitting on the shelf almost since I got it (due to the security issue). Today I went to pack it up since we're moving, and noticed the entire front glass has peeled off.. like the glue has decomposed.

      I cant even use it now if I wanted - any solution??

      Ok fair enough, but it does it for me as an alternative android phone. To have such a device that can run navigation etc as well as my Sony is amazing. As a first go I think it was pretty good, a number of others were heralded at the time but did not turn up. If Omate could produce a version that satisfies you I think it would be a winner. I have to admit I bought it as a bit of extravagence not expecting too much, but it is much better than expected. Sound is amazing from such a device, I use it for many hours listening to radio over wifi. Kills the battery of course, but not too bad.

      Well beside the screen, that touches sometimes "itself" and does "funny" things, my TS1 also works well. Oh and all the nice watch faces unfortunately do not work reliable too, so I only use the standard ones.

      But I can not use my TrueSmart for what it was intended for, besides having a cool watch: as sports watch, as step counter or for sleep tracking!

      I can not connect my BT4LE heart rate strap to the TS1, because Android 4.2 does not support BT4LE, Android 4.3 is minimum for that. I can not use it as step counter or sleep tracker, because (some of) the sensors do not work when the screen is powered off.

      Both could be solved with newer and fixed firmware. I know that some developers at XDA-Dev build and published an Android 4.4 firmware ported from more or less similar smartwatches, but because of lack of support by MediaTek some kernel-drivers are missing and thus no sensors are working any more.

      So again no step counter or sleep tracker possible :-(

      All this could be solved by an updated firmware!

      When the campaign still was running, Omate said, that they are already working on Android 4.3. Later they said, that they will skip 4.3 and go directly to Android 4.4. They never published any newer firmware, not 4.4 and even not 4.3 where they already where working on.

      Why not?

      @thg Sorry mate, it may not be the greatest, it may be outdated, but mine and a lot of others work very well. I know Omate was short on service and communication, but I do not think they made a lot out of it if anything. I still do not see much comparable, most of the rest are bluetooth annexes.

      There are a lot of "funny things" with the TS1. Right now, my TrueSmart is not much more than an expensive hitech gadget on the garbage dump of history :-(

      It's not the hardware that is bad, it is the software that is outdated, buggy and incomplete and never will be fixed, just because Omate and it's partner MediaTek are not able and/or willing to finish their work :-(

      Instead of supporting the ks-bakers, who made the TrueSmart true at all and making Omate a "million dollar company", they prefer to put all their efforts in the me-too Android Wear trash and slightly improved new models of the TrueSmart.

      Too bad, but the TS1 is history, in one or two years the TSi and TS+ will be history too ...

      The Moto 360 and the TS1 uses the exact same InvenSense sensor hardware. Funny thing is, it's not a battery killer on the 360.

      Why bother with offering proper support, parts, service and repairs when you can hire a smart ass to shut down all the "negative" backers? It's much, much cheaper.

      It's sad that instead of building a reputation - creating fans, building a loyal customer base - Omate just want to make quick money.

      And Kickstarter doesn't give a sh*t and let them do another campain...

      @thg, there was no sensor hub in the TS1. The TS1 runs on Android 4.2. Both the TSi (Android 4.4) and the TS+ (Android 5.1) runs with the BHI160 on-board. https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/en/homepage/products_3/sensor_hubs/mobile_2/bhi160/bhi160_1

      If so, there is no way to get at least 4.4 fully (means including the sensors) running on the TS1?

      @thg, the major difference is the Bosch sensor hub which allows constant tracking. The BHI160 provides an ideal all-in-one-solution for always-on sensor applications such as fitness tracking and step counting at very low power consumption.

      how different is the hardware to the TrueSmart v1?

      At least the processor and GPU seems to be the same, what about sensors, broadband chip etc.?

      After you failed mostly in providing a fully working Android-update for the TS1, would it be possible to port the TSi or TS+ firmware to the TS1 for getting at least BT4LE _and_ sensors to work?

      Unfortunately it seems, that my TS1 is going to be crazy, without touching the display it opens randomly apps, settings, types letters and so on. Don't know how to solve it right now :-(

      Unfortunately you are using MediaTek again and thus updates to newer Android version are mostly unlikely because of lack of support by MediaTek!

      It's always the same, you get what you paid for :-(

      I had sent email regarding my charging issue of TS on Sep 1, 2015. Still no reply or assistance. Also i am not able to find how to buy charger for my TS. please give me some solution for charging...otherwise it is a total waste and loss for me..how to place the order for charger..

      I think the TS was a difficult product to start up. Omate did break a few promises and communication was a little poor. However they did deliver where others did not. Mine is good. I always thought if they could come up with a Mk2 it would be even better. I will not be buying the Mk2 just yet as my Mk1 is still very good. If Omate can give better Customer Service this time they will be onto a winner, and I think it is a fair price.

      TBH - I still use my Omate every day - Its awesome (and still going strong) - However - Once the strap breaks - that's it (Same with new version), also the support was basically limited to the users supporting it, rather than the company providing the support - So - Whilst a new version would be very nice, I don't believe a word they say.. Fix the firmware on the first version first - is that really so hard? You must have a lot of experience with mediatek by now - the hardware is very similar, would be childs play to port lollipop to it - give us a reason to believe in you again - release the source code (as the licence requires) - Would you buy a new car every year, or would you expect it to be supported as long as it was viable? - A company who doesn't listen to their customers is one that doesn't last long. Whilst you did keep us informed, it was quite magical how quickly the watch we backed "Changed" - why should this new version be any different?

      No matter how tempting ,think twice. They were never complete honest with from the start, waterproof?, remember the guy getting out of the pool wearing the Omate? This was supposed to be an original project, ended up being a copy with "original" software! Sapphire glass? Push notifications never work well ,they left it up to swapp link to develop the software for that .... So much potential.... Again they are hooking up with Mediatek, nothing has changed ??!!
