** GOAL UPDATE**
First off, thanks to everyone who has made this real and helped me accomplish this. I cannot wait to get this record out, and into your generous hands.
With that said, there are just a few days remaining on this campaign which I'd like to use to raise funds for a music video to accompany my first single. If you were planning on contributing, please do! I'm hoping to raise an additional $500 to get a good video done.
Thank you again for your support. See you on the road soon!
Thank you for checking out my Kickstarter campaign for Time Spent In The Machine. Here’s a little bit about my time in the machine and how it has shaped my sound:
I started playing guitar and singing at age 11 and have always done whatever I needed to do to pursue my musical dreams. I have lived in cars, couches, halfway homes, and have relocated and toured many times throughout the USA and Europe, finally settling in Austin, Texas to realize these dreams. “The Machine” I refer to in the title is neither good nor bad, it’s just the environment in which I have survived, thrived, and on occasion, suffered as a musician. It is what has inspired this new music in which I take so much pride.
The four-track EP, Time Spent In The Machine, will be my 6th independent release. It contains my best songs to date and features some of Austin’s finest musicians.
This Kickstarter project will allow me to:
• Work with Grammy Award winners Jason Schweitzer for mixing and Bob Lanzer for mastering
• Contract out for hard copy duplication
• Create a fully functional and professional website
• Promote and generate merchandise
• Arrange touring and distribution to get this music out for people to hear!
But the fact is, all of these things cost money, WHICH IS WHY I NEED YOUR HELP!
I’ve come up with a cool incentive package for your respective donations.
IF I DON’T REACH MY GOAL OF $3000 WITHIN 40 DAYS, I’M NOT ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ANY OF THE DONATIONS, SO PLEASE HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD BY SHARING THIS PAGE WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ON FACEBOOK AND TWITTER, AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE! TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!
PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN! EVERY PENNY COUNTS!
MY SINCEREST THANKS TO YOU ALL!

Risks and challenges
If my project is funded the real work begins. I have spent many years performing and have released 5 previous CD's, so I know how hard it is to get the music heard and garner exposure as an artist. It takes lots of work to re-establish previous relationships, and often times even more to make new ones. These relationships, however, are the foundations of the industry. Without them, you'll go nowhere.
I also plan on hitting the road constantly and performing anywhere I can. Even though the internet offers so many amazing platforms by which to get exposure, nothing connects with people like a live show. The monetary math of staying out on the road often doesn't equate to any sort of profit, particularly with the cost of gas, food, etc. But it's something that must be done. If you wanna work as a musician, you have work harder and be willing to give up more than your competition. I feel like I'm ready for the challenge.
