Board Game Brothas was founded by two brothers from New Orleans, Louisiana in 2017 with the intent and focus to develop great boardgames that lovingly represent their culture and heritage.

Hamu Dennis is the Founder and Lead Artist at BGB. Fahamu is an incredibly talented artist, photographer, and videographer who has a love for games and a passion for New Orleans, its culture and its people. Often sharing his home and the tools of his craft with the community to help them realize their talents and achieve their dreams. 

Omari Akil is the Co-Founder and Lead Designer at BGB. Omari is a writer; style/technology/marketing consultant; and absolute board game nerd. He is a creative collaborator and an expert at bringing concepts and ideas together in quite interesting ways. 

Risks and challenges

We face some challenges as a small company launching our first Kickstarter campaign. This is something we have addressed by thorough research on similar Kickstarter projects and by being in constant communication with game design and publishing mentors who have all completed campaigns successfully.

Board Game Brothas is fully dedicated to this project and we want to maintain a positive relationship with our backers as we go through this process by providing frequent updates so everyone remains informed, from the end of the campaign, all the way through to delivery of Rap Godz to your doorstep.
