App Testing Update

43 Personen gefällt das

Hi All!

We received so many requests from all of you to become an Alpha tester that choosing only 100 would have been too limiting! So we decided to select 1000 backers to be our first testers of the ONO app for Android. The feedback we got was great, and we were able to nail down a lot of small bugs. We are releasing the second version of the Alpha app later today to fine-tune those bug fixes. We really appreciate the time all of you took to help improve the app!

While we wait for UL to certify the new boards, we’ll continue to work out the little bugs and add features to the apps. We’ll be releasing the Beta version to even more backers soon, after we see if there are any other major bugs.

We also submitted the first version of the iOS app to the Apple App Store for verification. We were able to take some of the feedback from the Android app and already implement it into this first build. Once we have that verification from Apple (hopefully in a few days), we’ll be able to open up the App to iOS users as well.

For those of you in the San Mateo area, we’ll be attending cityFEST this weekend, June 3-4 in Foster City!

Thanks again!

ONO Opening Pre-Orders

62 Personen gefällt das

Hi Everyone!

As production has been running smoothly and final glitches have been taken care of, to kick start the weekend at the Maker Faire Bay Area, we’ll be accepting pre-orders from everyone who wants an ONO. Those who just can’t wait to get their hands on an ONO will be able to reserve their printer ahead of time by visiting us at the booth or directly online at www.ono3d.net.

This does not mean that pre-orders will be fulfilled before backers’ rewards. Orders will not be processed until June 22nd so backers will still receive their printers before we start fulfilling pre-orders. Backers are still our main priority and in order for us to maintain the production line hot and on a roll, and make sure that especially ONO resins can be supplied on a regular basis, we’ll need to have a consistent demand that can sustain the future of ONO.

More updates on production coming next week!

PCB and App Update

58 Personen gefällt das

Hey guys!

The tests on the first 100 boards went great! Now we have to wait for UL to complete their compliance tests, which shouldn’t take too long. Once they give us the green light, we will have the first batch of 2000 boards ready to be installed and the finished printers ready to ship in a matter of days.

In the meantime, we are ready to release the Alpha version of the ONO App! We finalized the Android version first, since the issues we were facing mainly concerned Android phones and we wanted to be sure those were sorted out. Before we upload it publicly for everyone to download on the Google Play Store, we’ll be asking 100 backers to be our Alpha testers and seek out any issues, bugs, or navigation flaws there might be. We are limiting the number of testers so that we can give the feedback we receive the attention it deserves. We will post a second update just for backers with the information on how to sign up to be an Alpha tester.

The selected backers will not only be able to download the app and use all the features, but they’ll be part of a bigger plan, actively helping the rest of the community to achieve a better 3D printing experience.

After collecting all feedback and improving the app, we will release a Beta version to a larger backer group to go over the last few bugs, and the final version will be available for everyone shortly afterwards.

Because of the changes to the boards, we also had to make minor adjustments to the iOS app. We are working on it now, and are looking into launching a Beta version of that as well through the Apple App Store.

For those of you in the San Francisco Bay area, we will be showcasing at the Bay Area Maker Faire in San Mateo from May 19-21, where we will have the latest printers running!

Be on the lookout for the info on the Alpha test sign-up soon!

PCB Update

Hi everyone,

We have updates on the boards! After the positive results from the tests we did with the first prototypes after the last update, we went ahead and deployed the changes needed for mass production.

Just yesterday, we received the first 100 PCB boards fresh off the production line. Before assuming that everything is good to go and ready to be installed, we will test these 100 boards individually to be completely sure that mass production produces reliable boards.

As already mentioned in the previous update, we had prepared in advance all necessary paperwork needed for UL certification so we should receive that pretty quickly and can carry on with final assembly and shipping of the printers.

We will keep you updated as things move along.
