A young man awakes in the night. A woman's scream echos in the streets.
They are coming.
The poor little village has been safe, far from the capital and his false king.
But it was only a matter of time till their hunger would've lead them here.
Spirits, Souls, Shades... whatever you want to call them.
Only rumors told about the capital and its downfall, right after the false king claimed the throne. All priests and their men were killed. Praying to Olea became high treason. Punishment was enslavement.
Since then the churches and shrine of Olea were destroyed and abandoned one after another. And with the loss of faith, the Shades appeared. With every death, their masses rise, turning the people mad and sick.
Now they are here and the young man and his wife see no other way then to run, run for the only place they deem safe. A little shrine close to the village.
What they find there will change their live and reignite their hope.
This game will be an adventure game when completed. The first public builds will only include the Arenamode and Hublevel.
The Goal is to test enemy encounters and weapons as i create them, easily via the arena and receive your feedback.
You will be able to get rescources from fighting enemies or trade them with your steamfriends, with them, you'll be able to craft new weapons with different playstyles and movesets!
The game features 2 kinds of multiplayer without loading screens and in a unique way.
You can duel other players by inviting them into your world via summoningstones.
The other one is different. You'll be able to interact with other players in their worlds, help or create chaos. Open or close doors to hinder or help their progress, activate traps and many more...
A direct Co-op mode is planed but far back on the to-do list, as it would take a lot of time of of the main game.

What will the money be used for?
I started with a small goal, every cent that comes in helps me.
The money will be used to pay the games server, that is used for the multiplayer and inventoryhandling.
The leftover money will be used to speed up the developement. Maybe I can move some work to freelancers (like sounds).
And for the unlikely event that I get enough money to live of for a while, I could work on this fulltime to get more features in and get it out faster!
Risks and challenges
This is a solo-project.
Since I have to do everything on my own, I can't predict how long it'll take to finish the game to 100%
