Overlap - The Game of Spatial Reasoning
Overlap is the second in a series of pocket-sized card games. Score points by strategically laying cards on a grid.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Mon, February 25 2019 2:16 PM UTC +00:00.
Overlap is a game requiring spatial-reasoning skills and puzzle-solving ability. Players must picture how a specific card can be oriented and placed on the grid so as to maximize the points earned for the card placement.
How to Play:
Each player is dealt a stack of 2-6 cards (depending on the number of players and the desired round length). One card is placed face up in the middle of the playing surface, creating the start of the grid.
Players take turns drawing the top card from their stack and adding it to the grid. Cards may be placed adjacent to, offset from, or overlapping other cards.
One point is scored for each instance in which the newly placed card has a square touching another square of the same color on a different card.
When the last player has placed his or her last card, the round is over and the player with the most points wins! Play just one round for a quick game, or play multiple rounds for a full game night!
Box includes 36 overlap cards, detailed instructions, examples, and possible game variations (such as solo mode and a special 3-player variation) for even more fun!

Simply modify your pledge amount.
2-4 copies = $9 each
5+ copies = $8 each
We will review each pledge and work with you to make sure you get the rewards you pay for.
Risks and challenges
Common risks for tabletop game projects include lost packages, production delays, and difficulty in coordinating shipping logistics.
We have assessed each of these risks and carefully calculated how to mitigate them.
We will produce many more copies of the game than are pledged for. This will help ensure that each backer receives his/her reward. We have also given ourselves plenty of extra time in case of delays. It is anticipated that production and shipment will be completed well ahead of schedule so that we can get all of our backers their rewards in a timely manner.
By backing this campaign, you acknowledge that there may be slight adjustments to the final appearance of the cards, and you accept this risk. However, we have already received game prototypes that function well, and we do not anticipate many changes.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
