The goal of this Kickstarter is to bring attention to the struggle we're facing against climate change (and to send a subtle message to the people who insist it isn't happening).
I've been an artist and designer for years, and just wrapped up my first fully funded Kickstarter, POP Science Enamel Pins. I learned a LOT from running the last campaign and decided with all the unrest going on in the world that I should keep using my skills to bring attention to these important causes.
If this Kickstarter goes well, my plan is to continue creating enamel pins that start conversations on the issues we face as a society today.
The pins are a massive 1.5" at the widest part with a polished silver lining. Each pin comes with a butterfly clutch backing to hold into place on it's cute coordinating backer card. The pins are HARD enamel pins and are jeweler quality! They are smooth, shiny and incredibly durable.
As we reach the first goal, I'll release another pin design if it looks like we can afford another pin. I'll ask you guys (backers) which your favorite is before I choose the next design to release. Popular vote will determine the winner. There's one additional pin in silver (Dam It!) and two additional designs in gold (Pumping Sunshine + Fresh Cut)
Risks and challenges
I learned a LOT from the last Kickstarter and the BIGGEST challenge I have is getting the word out!
I can't make the goal if nobody knows this exists and if nobody pledges. This is a challenge that YOU, the backer can have a lot of impact on.
I'm only one person and I know I can't do this without your help. So, PLEASE share the link with people you know who will love these pins as much as you, and then share it again, and again, and you and I can make this collection a reality!
I don't foresee any major challenges, it's a pretty straight forward project without too many moving pieces. I've calculated the timing, production, and shipping costs and added a little bit extra of everything just in the case something does come up.
The delivery date is set to April. I am hoping that I can get these out to everyone in time for Earth Day (April 22). It takes 14 days for me to receive the funding from Kickstarter (should I make the goal) + time for the orders to be processed (15 days), and then time for me to package with care & ship it all out to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
