As usual, thanks to everyone who backed us during the Kickstarter, and thanks for all the words of support that it didn't work out!
Here is where we are right now: We are still planning to release in April of next year, but without the Kickstarter money, the graphics will be worse. The sound effects may not be as good as they could have been. There may be less music. We are also going forward with the idea of releasing the game's digital manual + guide, although we probably will not have the capital to do a print release of it, sadly. Etc, etc.
However, the scope of the gameplay and the story will not be compromised. That is how we planned it from the beginning. I agree with the comments about is being too early - if we had worked on it for another month or two, I think it would have been more of a success. However, while it is possible that we may do another kickstarter down the line, we found it quite draining, and regret not getting as much work done on the game itself as we could have, instead of managing the kickstarter.
So maybe when the game is nearly finished we would do another Kickstarter - but at the point, the game is nearly finished. More than likely we will just go forward with a straight release, and then depending on that success we will have the funding to do more complex and polished adventure games.
I still plan to put updates to the kickstarter about once per month, so look forward to that! Thanks everyone
