With one week left, I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported us so far. We're still hoping to get funded!

What we've been working on here is important, but unfortunately not very visual. Lots of work has been going into getting our save system working the way I want it to work, and really working at all (this tends to be a difficult part of development for me!)

How saving works in this game is pretty particular to my philosophy, which is pretty aligned with the great Ron Gilbert (he talks about it here). Basically, I like saving that is completely transparent to the player. In All the Hidden Corners, saving happens automatically as you make decisions, and there is no going back, or multiple files, or anything like that. As soon as you add in the ability for the player to select how and when they save the game, the saving of the game becomes part of the game. And I think that pulls the player out of the world a little bit. The game should be only how you interact with characters and the environment, not with the code itself.
