A HUGE thank you to all who have pledged and the work you have done to help drive eyes to the project! Interest is high, over 200 likes and almost 1000 video plays in the first week. That is so awesome, and fuels my fire to drive the project harder.
While likes and interest are great, we NEED backers if this is going to fund. I know through personal correspondence that there are more then a few of you who really want a Rambler, but are holding back. We need your support, the more pledges come in, the more others will fill in behind and we can make this design a production reality. We need your support to make this a reality
The T-shirt and Musette art has been finalized. There are two options available: the Randonneur drop bar build and the Porteur City bike with the upright bars.
You will be able to get either on a single shirt or bag. The bicycle silhouette will be on the front with a 3 inch square logo on the back, both shirts and bags. Your choice of art and graphic will be chosen during the post funding survey. I will be announcing the color choices for the American Apperal shirts later this week, and yes, there will be options for men's and women's cuts. If you are thinking you want more than one of a reward in these categories, I will address that in the FAQ later today.
Post cards are back from the printer last week as well, and I am incredibly happy with how they turned out.
Last weekend's trip to San Francisco was roaring success. I was able to meet many existing fans and customers, as well as make some new ones at the SF bike expo. From Friday afternoon through Sunday I was barely able to take a break. Everybody who saw the bikes loved them, that was a great morale booster. Here is a pic of the OAC team right before go time:
My wife dubbed her yellow size 51 "Little Miss Sunshine". The bike was a last minute entry in the Pedal Savy Fashion show on Sunday. Best of all was the number of times I heard women, both single and spouses say "I WANT IT". Yes gentlemen, the Rambler is the bike that could grease the wheels to a double pledge!
I would love to hear back from any and all of you who were at the show, feel free to drop a note in the comments section.
The last day of the trip we were able to meet with our bag supplier in the SOMA district. A quick tour of the factory, and discussions about future projects as well, but most importantly the plan for the Musette bags is more secure than ever. We are looking forward to a long relationship with this supplier.
Time For Action!
So now is the time to make your pledges, tell your friends, and get this going. If you or a friend is looking to get a bike that will move them from recreational to transportational, start commuting, etc. the Rambler is a bike that will provide you with decades of service, is a joy to ride, and you will never regret it.
Lets get those pledges moving!
