We are a talented group of artists, diverse in backgrounds and disciplines, and for the past three and a half years we've been working to hone our skills in the studios of Oregon College of Art and Craft. On May 16, 2014, we will present the culmination of an intensive immersion in a mentor-based, craft-oriented creative community with our exhibition JUNCTURE.
We are drawn to the traditions of craft and are actively looking to expand its vision. Through concept and process our class explores an extensive range of media. Studies in photography, fiber arts, painting, ceramics, metals, wood, book arts, and everything in between, have given form to a truly unique body of thesis work. So now, it’s time to show it.
Get involved and support this extremely talented group of artists. Contributions to our Kickstarter will fund the cost of putting on a large exhibition in the city, an invaluable experience for emerging artists and an opportunity to establish a relationship with Portland’s vibrant arts community.
How will we show you our gratitude for your support? Here are some examples of the rewards you will receive for your generosity!
Risks and challenges
This Kickstarter campaign and our exhibition to follow are the culmination of four years of hard work and dedication to our craft. OCAC has prepared us well to handle the challenges and hurdles this project will present us with by giving us a strong work ethic, a foundation in exemplary craftsmanship and a focus on presentation. We’re a self-sufficient bunch, able to surmount anything and put on a fantastic show.
Our graduating class is enthusiastic, talented, and ready to bring our work out of our studios and in front of the public’s eye in this cooperative venture.
