What, Tor said. Pillars of Eternity is out now and Torment just hit their early access. For all issues with your Torment pledge you can reach out to inXile at support(at)inxile.net. Enjoy everyone!

People having issues with the Torment project should probably go to the project's comments section and post there - I doubt inXile reps are reading this update under a different project from a different developer.

I just did the math too and realized that I paid 100$ (my currency) for the base game and no EA access, and EA access is being sold on steam for 81$ (my currency). So I paid more, to help fund this project and actually can't even play now. WHAT A JOKE. Can I ask for refund?

Yeah, 6 days ago the email was sent.

Kinda surprised indeed.. I was looking for an email but only found this one.. But maybe it was announced way earlier? I will double check..

Why the hell the backers who funded this project doesn't have access to early access and people who are paying for the game now can play it?

Geez, the ignorance in these posts. Alpha systems access for KS backers only started months ago. Beta access for KS backers started last week, and steam early access for all started today. If you really wanted to jump in and give true design input you should of paid enough to get alpha systems access.

      Steam-only, Windows-only...
That's why I do not support "Early Access".
P.S. BTW, it would be great if inXile fix their "Wasteland 2 DC" on Linux (on GOG)...

    9. veritanuda on

Looks great.. but it is Windows only. Surely you can nudge them to doing a Linux version as well? Thanks.

@Eveline, Lore Master level includes beta access. The issue here is that backers either have to pay for the game twice or watch everyone else get to play it before them.

I backed at Loremaster level and looked just now. The key was listed in the key section of the account management.

I think it's fine to have beta access for backers that pledged extra for it. I think it's BS that anyone and everyone can get it on "Early Access" right now before backers that didn't pledge for beta access.

    13. DrAlexander on

The beta access was an add-on for the original Kickstarter so you could have got it if you wanted.
So no, the game isn't available to the wide public before the backers. Backers (who pledged to include beta access) got it about 1 week ago.
I for one didn't want to pledge for beta access and having someone playing a buggy 1/5 of the full game some months before me isn't really an issue.

Anyway, Wasteland 2 had a similar release process so this was to be expected.

what are you talking about? I backed the actual torment kickstarter and we got the early access last week on Thursday. this kickstarter had nothing to do with torment, they are just letting you know as a friendly reminder. again, pillars has nothing to do with torment, if you backed TORMENT at a tier you would get the beta, then you need to contact them... wow

    15. Ezumiyr on

wait wait wait... Early access for non-backers before backers ? Do you really think that's why we kickstarted this game ? Why would I kickstart your future projects if I can just buy it in early access ? It's not worth the risk...

    16. Don Reba on

Would be kinda sad, if they make it available to the wide public before the backers.

For real... where are the backer codes? Seems... odd... to already see reviews on Steam when I haven't even had a chance to check it out yet (:

I looked on the Rewards section of the Torment Account page and don't see anything.

    18. sabata2 on

You needed a $25 add on or to pledge above $110 to apparently get Beta access.

Though I kinda have to say this feels like a dick move putting it on Early Access and not first making note that you'd be handing out Beta keys.

    19. Tim Cummings on

At what level did you have to back to get this now?

So... where do I get the Steam Key for the game? (I backed for 65 USD I think)
