      @gandalf.nho We have talked a lot about a horror RPG. We were within inches of doing a RPG with White Wolf and then CCP came in and purchased them. :(

      @ feargus

      i heard that you were only doing two handed spears ATM. have you considered having two types of spears, longer two handed ones (or regular spears), and what amounts to a short spear or javelin? you didn't throw longer spears really as they were more of a reach weapon, but javelins/short spears were used very much as a weapon that could be both thrown and used with a shield for melee fighting. if you could figure out a way to implement the difference, it would be kind of cool.

      what would you have done if the initial pace had continued and you'd ended up with 24 million dollars?

    3. Sing on October 10, 2012

      @Andron: Yep, it's mentioned somewhere on the page IIRC

    4. Jack Hepburn Raine on October 10, 2012

      Think the ingame item should be dropped as its referred to as the kick starter item.

    5. Andron - Robot of the Obsidian Order on October 10, 2012

      @Feargus
      You mean the price for the base game will go up after the kickstarter ends?

    6. Paul D on October 10, 2012

      Good day @Obsidian
      Not many days left, it is a bit like the quiet before the storm at the moment, is the team primed for the last few day rush :-)

      @Andron Yeah, we need to call those out. I know the one unique thing is the price at $20/$25.

      @Eero I'll just finish the interview I'm doing right now and then I'll check them. Probably about 10 minutes or so.

    9. Kabraxis on October 10, 2012

      Oh, just noticed I forgot to add $20 for shipping.

    10. Andron - Robot of the Obsidian Order on October 10, 2012

      Hey Feargus! Its been a slow day.
      I have a follow-up to a question I had earlier about how unique the rewards are for Kickstarter. Are any of the benefits/rewards unique to the time window of the kickstarter project (next 6 days), whether ks or paypal? Like, you can only get such and such if you donate before the kickstarter ends?

      @Feargus, a curiosity, Obsidian never thinked with the idea of creating a horror RPG?

    12. Trister - OO's Tormented Master Wetboy on October 10, 2012

      @ feargus

      Oh, hi Feargus, great timing.
      I am pretty excited at the moment as I am a big SciFi fan (even more than Fantasy, sorry :P) and I just read about the Star Citizen crowdfunding. Did you already hear about it?
      Crowdfunding is one of the best things that happened to the game industry... in my opinion.

    31. Kabraxis on October 10, 2012

      @Lord: Right? Playing Witcher 2 right now, want to play Planescape: Torment and Dishonored next... but also Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex 3. Time? Nope.

      @ Voror

      Buying them now on GOG doesn't affect the version, you can just wait before downloading them (or re-download them later). Gog will put a little "new" on your games when they have a new version as well.

    35. Jack Hepburn Raine on October 10, 2012

      Hello everybody! :)
      It's horrifying.....I'm playing XCOM (couldn't resist), bought Divinty Anthology (great box set) and still wait for Dishonored.....I need MORE time.... :/

    41. Voror,Exiled Judge of the Obsidian Order on October 10, 2012

      In regards to the Divinity deal, would it be best to wait till tomorrow then for when they've hopefully managed to update the games, or would buying them now not really affect that sort of thing?

    46. Voror,Exiled Judge of the Obsidian Order on October 10, 2012

      @Bryy

      Exactly, it's a lot more complicated. What is written has to be able to work within the mechanics of the game world created or else it may end up scrapped. I've actually read of levels or concepts that were scrapped for such reasons. Some were quite cool visually, but they just couldn't make it work within the game.
