UPDATE!: Thanks to the fantastic support of our backers, Oblivity will return for a second season in 2020!
NOT ONLY THAT but we've hit our stretch goal - so now, all backers - no matter which reward tier you choose - will receive a backers-only festive special episode in time for Christmas!
On the ice plains of Pluto, a disgraced war hero is tasked with overseeing a small, dysfunctional research team.
Launched in April 2019, season one of comedy podcast Oblivity has gained thousands of listeners, glowing reviews, a sell-out live show, and fantastic fan-art. Thank you to everyone who's joined us at Research Base Persephone for your awesome feedback and support.
Now we are asking for your help: Our listeners have encouraged us to launch a second season, and we would love to make this happen! But to make it, we need to raise £5000 in 30 days to cover our production costs.
And if you help us, you'll receive exclusive rewards!
Why we need your support
Oblivity is a completely independent podcast, and we love making it. Our first season was largely self-funded, and made possible through goodwill, favours and enthusiasm.
Return journeys to Pluto don't come cheap - so the only way we can go back to Persephone is if our fabulous listeners help us out. This will mean we can pay our costs including: the time of our hard-working creative team; recording equipment; online hosting; sound effects; design-work, and more.
We’re asking for your help to raise £5000 in 30 days. And to recognise your generosity, we have some fantastic rewards for our backers - from mini-episodes, to live show recordings, cool merch, and a personalised message of thanks from your favourite Persephone team members!
What if we raise more than £5000?
If we exceed our target and raise £5500, then we will also make a special festive episode to share with all our backers in time for Christmas this year!
Anything raised above £5500 will be invested back into the show.
Want to know what season two will bring?
- Six full-length episodes following Falconer, Christy, Burney and Lowell on their next adventures!
- Fresh locations, electrifying character revelations, and sticky situations...
- New threats and villains - and a few familiar ones!
Also, keep an ear on your podcast feeds throughout this 30-day campaign for a special Oblivity mini-series Missives to Mars, which contains a few hints as to what we've got in store for season two...
Please help us today - and wait for your rewards!
Kickstarter is an ‘all or nothing’ platform. That means that if we don’t make our target within the 30-day campaign, you won’t lose a penny of your pledge, but it would also mean that we wouldn’t be able to make a second season of Oblivity - and Lowell’s door-barging days will be over.
We have just 30 days to reach our target. So if you enjoy Oblivity, then please:
- click that Kickstarter button to back this project;
- pledge a donation now to help us raise £5000; then
- sit back and wait for your rewards - and of course, season two!
Please share this page with your friends, family and comrades! And we'll let you know when we reach our target.
We are so grateful to you, our listeners, for your support and enthusiasm. Without your encouragement we wouldn’t have considered making a second series. But here we are! So we want to say a huge THANK YOU for being, well, ace.
We hope to see you again at Research Base Persephone soon!
Rob, Joe and the Oblivity team.
Risks and challenges
Aside from errant meteoroids, or the schemes of a dastardly Profoctor, we shouldn't face any major challenges in bringing you a second season.
