The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Some people absolutely love it. Others absolutely loathe it. Few people have actually read it.
Like most government programs, the middle class will end up paying for it, regardless of whether it works well or not. And nobody really has any idea if it will save money, or blow up the deficit. Regardless of political affiliation, it will affect every American one way or the other.
What could possibly happen when you extract 1.7 TRILLION dollars from the private sector? To find out, you could actually try reading the Bill & ever expanding regulations (and risk an aneurysm) or you could buy this fun party game instead.
This game demonstrates in a fun, educational way how the middle class may be affected over the next few years. Backers will receive a link to the actual law for reference while playing the game. Game rules will also be posted for review after the launch.

Obamacare The Game has been entirely self-funded up to this point, but we need help raising capital to move into the production stage. All the artwork and production files have been finalized, other than the exterior box art. We'll be finishing that up before this campaign ends.
We’re seeking to raise $12,500 to produce the first run of games and we can only collect the funds if we reach or exceed this goal.

Risks and challenges
Although this is our first board game (and Kickstarter Campaign), my partner & I are both seasoned media professionals, having produced national print advertising, television media and corporate promotional materials.
We are used to working tight deadlines, and working with printing and manufacturing vendors. We are extremely pleased that our game's board & box manufacturer is also located here in Louisville, KY. This has enabled us to work closely together, maximizing the game's quality and avoiding all the problems inherent with Chinese manufacturing. We're proud to support our fellow American Businesses!
Rest assured, this game and the related merchandise will be shipped directly to all of our backers before the Christmas Season.
