We love miniatures - we love to collect them, paint them, and game with them. And we love anthropomorphic animals! We started the Burrows & Badgers range back in 2015, and there are now 85 miniatures... but it's time for a few more!
'Burrows & Badgers: the Skirmish Game of Anthropomorphic Animals' was released earlier this year by Osprey Games, and with thousands of players all around the world, we need to add more model choices for people to include in their warbands.
The miniatures are all single piece models, with integral bases, so there are no fiddly parts to be glued on. We love making miniatures; we hope you'll love our miniatures too.
Why we need your help...
We've got 15 new miniatures sculpted, but they need to have moulds made before we can start producing the miniatures. And that's why we need funding; to get the moulds made, and get the casting process started.
About the miniatures...
There are other ranges of anthropomorphic animal miniatures out there, but ours are a little different. We didn't want all the races of animals to be the same size. Instead, we've scaled them to each other; so a shrew or a mouse is a very small model, about 20mm tall, and a really big animal like a badger will stand over 45mm tall, for example.
Each sculpted figure shown below has its height in millimetres listed below it. All our models are supplied unpainted.

Below you'll see pictures of the different Pledge levels available. Each picture shows you what's included in the Pledge, then below them you can see close-up pictures of the individual miniatures. Below the pictures you'll see the sizes of the miniatures listed, and also the retail price for Pick'n'Mix Backers or if you want to add extra miniatures to any Pledge.
Shipping costs vary depending on where you are; there's an image at the bottom of this page that lists all the shipping costs. All Pledges are set for an estimated delivery of February 2019, but we're hoping to deliver sooner than that.
Risks and challenges
The main risks are getting the miniatures safely moulded, and then producing enough casts to satisfy demand. Thankfully both these problems come down to the skill and experience of the sculptor and the mouldmaker. And we've been doing this for a long time now, with 13 projects all fully completed, and delivered on time or early!
The larger miniatures may be difficult to cast in metal, but we've got options to cast them in resin instead.
In short, we're not expecting any problems, but if we have some, we'll keep you informed, and we'll deal with them professionally.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
