Based on a Sci-Fi terror script, Ariel stands as a First/Third Person survival experience designed for VR headsets. #MadeWithUnity
The development is taking into consideration the gameplay as the main focus of the project. With a partially procedurally generated world, along with different endings to the story, Ariel takes into account the replayability as one of its assets. As passionated developers, we wish to deliver an innovative experience.
Be ready to live through a unique survival adventure as Ferdinand Ludec, a mathematician who arrives in Ariel, one of Uranus' moons, only to find an entire crew of scientists dead. Explore the moon and find a way out before it is too late.

When the project is expected to be finished?
The project started almost 2 years ago, with a single developer working on the 3D models, the storyline, the music and the gameplay mechanics. As soon as the project started to rise, additional developers grabbed interest and unite to create Ariel. The development is at an advance stage, but there is still a long way to go.
Nuclear Fiction has already been approved as a Steam partner developer and Ariel has been granted access to Early Access, so we expect to release it by December 2016 / January 2017.
An additional release will be announced for Playstation 4, expected for the First Quarter of 2017. People from Play Station are aware of the project and we are all set to publish on this console.
First/Third Person survival experience. Some of the mechanics of the game include taking care of your hunger, hydration, oxygen and stamina as well as solving puzzles, acquiring key items, looting and surviving the harsh environment in order to escape the isolated moon. Getting tired and avoiding insanity will only be some of the threats to face.
Ariel’s release is planned for PlayStation VR, PS4 and Steam (PC, Mac and Linux).
Ariel is the name of a black budget project, funded by a mysterious group of men. Professor Ludec is an expert in Electro Mono-Pole theory, and somehow, this knowledge puts him in an extreme position. Ludec finds himself inside a space shuttle, ready for departure, with a gun pointed at his head. Without any warnings, he is sent to Ariel, one of Uranus’ moons, in order to fulfill the agenda of his kidnappers. Professor Ludec arrives in Ariel, only to find and entire crew of scientists dead. His only hope; to find a way out of Ariel before his survival skills come to a break point.
We have carefully designed coherent weapons and tools that would exist on the moon. These are two examples of the guns the player could use in the game.
Since it is a Sci-Fi game, we designed some alien creatures that could live in Ariel's enviroment. The AI and animations are something we are working on very hard.
Here is a sample of Ariel’s Original Soundtrack. Ariel’s composer tried to achieve the nostalgia from the Sci-Fi old school, while innovating and experimenting with new sounds and atmospheres, creating a unique soundtrack for the videogame.
So far, we are contemplating PlayStation VR and HTC’s VIVE as the main VR Headset units for the game.
We appreciate your support and we offer different reward tiers for our backers.
We provide you with a Steam Key when the game is first released on Early Access.
You get the Original Soundtrack of the game on high quality (wav and mp3 320kbps) when the game releases.
Ariel for PS4
Once the game is fully released, you get the digital copy for PS4, this reward also includes the PSVR version of the game.
Badges The last three tiers include from 1 to 3 patch badges of the Ariel 3rd Expedition Mission. You can choose from the following designs.
The designs may have little fixes from the ones show above.
The company is based in Mexico City, funded in 2016. We are a group of developers who have worked previously on Steam and Playstation projects, and we are immersed within the narrative line that Nuclear Fiction has created throughout this experience. Nuclear Fiction arises from the need to express this, and other stories which will hopefully get the players deep inside the narrative line, creating an experience worthy of nowadays expectations.
Why we need the support
We are working hard to deliver a great game, and we wanted to include a Kickstarter campaign in order to complete the project and polish both Playstation and Steam’s versions. We ask for your support in order to finish and deliver this great product.
How are we gonna use the money
The funds will be used to develop the last section of our pipeline, which includes the PS4 version, as well as the playable ending of the story. We still need some time in order to polish Ariel in general, and with your support, we can accomplish this task in order to deliver a product which will motivate the gamers and create a great experience for Virtual Reality Headsets.
Risks and challenges
As we all know, great projects sometimes do not make it to the endline. As developers who have worked in previous titles released for Playstation and Steam, we are aware of the complications that might arise at the end of the development. Therefore, we have traced a pipeline which gives us confidence in finishing up the project and maintaining the goal alive, even if everything goes wrong.
The main risk would be that something happens the core of the project itself. We have everything backed up physically, as well as in the cloud. The other great risk would be to run out of funds, and this is why we want to encourage a Kickstarter campaign, so that we can assure the end of the development and complete Ariel in its totality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
