Dice Settlers is an innovative 4X game, where you take your nation from a humble beginning in a world of possibilities to becoming the dominant nation of the land. Designed by David Turcziand illustrated by Mihajlo Dimitrievski, Dice Settlers features a modular board, over 40 Technologies to discover, and 51 custom dice.
Dice Settlers comes with a set of 51 custom dice, manufactured using the hot printing technology. This allows us to fully customize the image that appears on each die (and place a piece of Mihajlo's art on each die), which is then printed, and covered in varnish. The final clear coating makes the dice extremely durable - after dozens of plays you will see no wear on your dice.
Each achievements set provides a number of quality upgrades or new content that can be unlocked during the project. We reveal new parts of each set regularly. For more details, see this update.

Dice Settlers (both standard and deluxe edition) will be manufactured in China, with one of NSKN Games' long term production partners, ensuring the highest quality of game components.
The most complex components are the custom dice and the realistic resources. While realistic resources are supplied by Stonemaier Games (many thanks Jamey for your support) and thus quality is guaranteed, producing quality custom dice is a long process, which will require us to approve samples and then check the final production quality on site, in China.
Estimated production start date is about 3 weeks after the campaign ends and the lead time for most components is 90 days. The custom dice and all deluxe edition components may add up to 15 extra days, but we're confident that final delivery time will not be affected.
As soon as production is over, we will ship containers to our fulfillment centers. Our current plan is to ship rewards from at least 3 different locations. Backers from USA, Canada and Europe will receive their rewards from local fulfillment centres, while everyone else will get their game boxes from Poland. US, EU and Canadian backers will get their game boxes locally, without any taxes.
Shipping charges, listed under each pledge level, will be added in the pledge manager. Our partner for this stage is BackerKit. You can find details about the pledge manager in update #4.
Risks and challenges
NSKN Games has been publishing quality board games since 2011. We entered Kickstarter in 2014 with our first project: Progress: Evolution of Technology - which was the first of a string of games (including two grand expansions) delivered to our backers without major delays.
With twelve successful Kickstarter projects to our name, we are making use of our experiences to constantly improve our process, while decreasing any potential risks. Now, during our thirteenth Kickstarter campaign, we already know the ropes, and we have the knowledge and the experience to face any possible challenges in our way.
Backers from Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and most locations in Central America will most likely receive their rewards later than the rest of the backers. Backers from these regions will receive packages from Poland, send via local postal services. These packages are sometimes sent via surface mail, thus it may take up to 3 months for these packages to reach their destinations.
Once again we will be working with tried and true partners, whose procedures and production cycles we know intimately. Our current partnerships include fulfillment companies in the Europe and North America.
However, in the unlikely event of anything going wrong, we have contingencies in place, as well as some spare time to deal with unexpected events. Still, an absolute worst case scenario may add a total of 15 to 30 days to delivery.
We are producing, packing and shipping large quantities of games, so there is always a chance of human error or damaging some game components. In any such case, please check our customer support on www.nskn.net, and we will try to resolve the matter swiftly, and to your satisfaction.
