The original Exodus: Proxima Centauri was a distinguishable entry among other 4X games of the new wave, leaving its unique mark on the gaming world. Now we want to expand both the gaming and the narrative aspect of Exodus with Exodus: Edge of Extinction – a worthy expansion to an epic space strategy.
Lead one of six unique, fully developed and beautifully illustrated factions with their own histories, strengths, unique special abilities and a set of new, exclusive technologies.
Exodus: the Edge of Extinction is a an expansion worthy of the base game, introducing asymmetric powers and new game play options to the critically acclaimed Exodus: Proxima Centauri Revised Edition. Bigger fleets, custom action cards, novel technologies and completely new mechanisms like the Combat Cards add a whole new layer to the spectrum of strategies already available in the base game.
The following preview of the Edge of Extinction expansion by UndeadViking will introduce the six factions, new technologies, actions, and upgrades, offering you an overview of the game.
Tom Vasel and Sam Healey of the Dice Tower share their thoughts of the Revised Edition of Exodus: Proxima Centauri (base game).
Finally, Kaja and Joanna from Starlit Citadel are walking you through the game play and main concepts of Exodus: Proxima Centauri (base game).
Add one Upgrade Card Set ($4) if you already own an Upgrade Pack.
Add one Upgrade Pack ($35) if you own the first edition of Exodus: Proxima Centauri. The Upgrade Pack includes the Upgrade Card Set!

Exodus: Edge of Extinction & Exodus: Proxima Centauri are scheduled for production at the end of February 2015. The artwork for the game and most of the stretch goals were finalized before the game went live on Kickstarter. While you are reading these lines, we are preparing the files for production to ensure an overall speedy delivery process.
You should receive your rewards in July 2015. We have accounted for possible delays such as production issues, legal holidays or bad weather and we are doing everything in our power to deliver the game boxes into your hands sooner. Orders from US, EU and Canada will be fulfilled locally while all the other orders are shipped from EU.
Exodus: Edge of Extinction was designed with true Exodus fans in mind, which is why we are bringing into the game the elements most often requested by all those truly excited about the Proxima Centauri universe. But we also wish to make this Kickstarter a perfect opportunity for new players to put our game on their tables, which is why we are also reprinting the high quality revised edition of Exodus: Proxima Centauri and creating options to bundle it with the expansion.
With all of the artwork ready, it is obvious that we believe in the Edge of Extinction expansion and the production is scheduled as soon as the project ends. With our previous project we proved that we can deliver our games on time and with no shortcomings when it comes to their high quality. We know that, as with our previous crowd-funding endeavors, we might have to deliver a great number of games within a relatively short time – and we are ready for this fortunate scenario.
3 reasons to support Exodus: Edge of Extinction
- Early delivery, limited availability: You get your game before anyone else, with 25% discount, with Kickstarter limited stretch goals which later on will only be available in a small quantity for an additional price.
- Your voice will be heard: Your most valuable contribution is your feedback. We hear our supporters loud and clear and we are here to answer your questions and alleviate your concerns.
- We Need Your Support: We have already covered the cost of graphic design and art, but we need your support with production.
Once you get into its simple mechanics, Exodus reveals itself to be actually quite streamlined, very focused, and with very little of the kinds of bulls**t that bogs down TI3 or the management futzing around that can cause Eclipse to grind. I’m impressed at how smoothly- and quickly- it all plays in its seven-round duration and I think the 30 minutes per player baseline is a reasonable expectation with experienced players.
Michael Barnes, No High Scores
In fact, if I compare Exodus Proxima Centauri to Eclipse or Twilight Imperium, I find a lot to love. I prefer the tech trees, for instance, and the fights were faster and more bloody.
Matt Drake, Drake’s Flames
Wonderful and entertaining sci-fi game with all the tweaks, the universe offers. It puts emphasis on technologies, that are essential path to success. However, you will not be bored for a minute and will not regret hours spent with this game. Its a pleasure to go there and look up at Proxima Centauri again and again.
It bears all of the trademark signs of an ideal big box game, full of markets, politics, arms races, and warfare. Once the basics of Exodus are fully explained, it’s remarkably straightforward for something with so many moving pieces, and it doesn’t sacrifice complexity to accomplish this.
Ryan LaFlamme, The Cardboard Republic
This game is beautiful and the pieces are of great quality! I can't wait to play this full, non-pnp version. And parts bags! You people thought of everything! Can you tell I'm excited?! And the lithograph is absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for an awesome campaign, and for your consistent communication through the entire process.
Looking forward to the Exodus campaign. I hope that campaign will be just as friendly and well run.
Thank you NSKN games! Between the well produced game (received last Friday), the great PnP files, the outstanding communication, and now the Art Book you have run a truly FANTASTIC Kickstarter project.
Got mine yesterday. Already did a solo play since I couldn't wait until this weekend. This was a great kickstarter. Thank you for such a good experience. Love this game!!

Risks and challenges
NSKN Games has been publishing board games since 2011. We have published so far 7 titles, one of them - Progress: Evolution of Technology - financed through Kickstarter in June 2014 and delivered a few months later in October.
With every project and the added experience we are improving our processes and decreasing the risk. This is our second Kickstarter campaign and our most ambitious project to date. We had a lot of time to prepare and we are ready to face possible challanges.
Our goal is to produce Exodus: Edge of Extinction and Exodus: Proxima Centauri within 75 days from the campaign end and to deliver the game before the end of August 2015. To do so, we have a production and shipping plan in place.
Our main partner for manufacturing is located in Poland, which allows us to stay in direct contact on a weekly basis and supervise personally the production process. The plastic components and the dice will be produced in China. We have worked before with each of these companies and they have delivered excellent quality. The wooded pieces will be made in Germany by an industry leader.
The local and overseas shipping of game components for production and assembly as well as rewards to our supporters will be handled by FedEx or DHL, our long time collaborators. They have a reputation of delivering on time and our history with them shows an average delay of 2 days.
The fulfillment will be handled by the same companies which helped us deliver Progress: Evolution of Technology on time. We have dedicated fulfillment partners for USA, Canada and EU.
We do not expect delays in production, but unforeseen issue may arise during manufacturing and shipping. We estimate that in the worst case scenario the production may add delays of maximum 15 days and shipping & customs may add some extra 15-25 days.
We have been dealing with large production runs and we are preparing back-up plans for each step of the project, from production to shipping and final delivery.
Because we are dealing with a large amount of games produced, packed and shipped, there is always a chance for human error or damaged parts. If such a thing happens, please check out customer support page on www.nskn.net and we will send you replacements. Our standard response time from your request to sending replacements is 48 hours.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
