While in college we had countless friends get open container tickets during tailgates or complained about paying too much for drinks at concerts and sporting events. Unless you’re a 70 year old talking about the good ole days, carrying around a standard flask looked kinda weird! We knew there had to be a better way to discretely bring the joy of throwing one back with your friends to countless events worldwide...Thus the iFlask was born!
We are just two young professionals from the mid-west with limited resources. We are looking for help with manufacturing costs, getting economies of scale, a plant visit (which will speed up the process immensely and also allow for better quality control) and funding for the initial production run. That is why we’re hoping the Kickstarter community (You!) can come together and help us reach our goal of 40k.
How many ounces/shots does it hold?
The iFlask holds about 5oz, or 5 one ounce shots
Our iFlask is made out of Polyethylene and polycarbonate. This plastic is very smooth and extremely sturdy and will withstand just about anything besides Rebecca Black's singing. Its light weight and also very safe and toxic free. The lid and bottle opener are made out of stainless steel which makes it very sturdy and look super trendy. Thus giving it that extra 'cool' factor.
Well first its super cool, Duh!! But it’s a great conversation starter. Its super discrete, and it will make you the talk of the town :)… The iFlask makes it just that much more nonchalant so you can walk around not looking like THAT guy.
You will have countless people asking you are you drinking from your Smartphone? Where did you get that? Can i buy one? Do you live around here? Lets get out of here... Plus you will be able to save boat loads of money and keep your buzz going all night long!

Well, you may think making something like this is as easy as pie, but it actually took a lot of time to design and get the right specifications in place. Once we had our initial design we had to make our product in SolidWorks to get a good 3d designed model. After that step we had to take it to a prototyping shop to get the initial product made. Then we had to work out the kinks and got to what we have today. It was an awesome experience and we are glad what came out of it. Once there we got together a film crew and the rest is in the history books.
We plan on starting production within 30 days after the final day of the Kickstarter campaign. We will be finalizing our manufacture by mid November. We then expect the production process will take roughly 30-45 days. We hope to have iFlasks shipped out to backers by the end of January, but we have put an expected delivery date of Feb 2013 just to be safe due to the holiday season.
Both Ethan and Dan go back years and years. They have known each other since 4th grade. Both graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2011. Prior to inventing iFlask Daniel founded Elekteks Inc which produced over $2 million in revenues in 2011. He is also the founder of FAF magazine (Fafmag.com) and MobileXlabs.com which is a mobile application development platform for brands. Ethan currently works in the hospitatility industry and works for one of the largest hotel chains in the world. Both are very driven, logical, and entrepreneurial individuals and have taken all steps necessary to make sure that the iFlask will live up to the hype and meets the expectations for all Kickstarter backers.
A very big thank you from the iFlask team for helping us get on our way to bringing the iFlask nationwide!
Thanks to Sebastian Hagen For Making our Video!!

After showing up to different venues with the iFlask we have not been able to keep the ladies off of us. So guess it depends who is asking :)
iFlask does not promote or condone the use of alcohol for anyone under the age of 21. We are not responsible for the way you use iFlask. iFlask is intended to serve as a container to trasport all sorts of liquids and is not nor does it claim to be a smartphone or any other sort of electronic device. iFlask is not associated with any other brands or products. iFlask is property of Weku Group LLC. By buying an iFlask you agree to these terms set forth by Weku Group LLC.
Well iFlask is already made and we are ready for production once we hit our goal for funding it. Over the past month or so we have been in touch with various manufactures both domestic and international. Novaes has run a online business since the age of 16 and is very competent when it comes to selling and distributing goods and thinking like a business.
We have gotten quotes for the cost of iFlask and all the associated costs of selling the item so we are well aware of the margins needed to make this a success:
Cost to make the good
Cost to package the good
Cost to send the good to our location
Cost to ship the good both domestically and internationally ( keeping in mind the time it takes to fill out custom forms and the extra shipping)
Cost to pay employees to ship it out
Cost of shipping box / jiffy pack
We have also set forth a budget for items that maybe defective. While unlikely it is something we are prepared for. We tend to take care of any and all customers.
Basically the next steps here would be finding the right manufacture for us to getting the product made with the quality we tend to deliver. We have some good prospects in mind. Once we narrow it down to one or two we will be personally making a plant visit to ensure they will be able to follow thru with the task in a reasonable amount of time and quality control.
One of the founders owns a electronics distribution company that ships out hundreds of items a month so we are quite confortable with the distribution of goods and have employees for this task. We are also very comfortable with running businesses as we have done so in the past. We have also seeked out legal advice about iFlask and have trademarked the name and have gotten the go ahead from our lawyers.
