$100 Level Reward Reveal! See the Art Print
Hello, Science Lovers!
We’re coming to you today in awe of what we’ve already accomplished in the 2 days since our re-launch. Yesterday we put out the call to backers from our previous campaign to make sure they had re-pledged. The challenge was to reach $40,000 - 20% of our overall goal - before the end of the day...
The team answered that call and last night we met the Day 2 goal with hours to spare! Thank you to everyone who came on board yesterday. We’re that much closer now to creating a new NOVA together because of you.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t still work to do! The only way we’ll make Beyond the Elements a reality as a group is to bring new folks onto the team. So keep sharing with your fellow science buffs! We’ve added 10% to our goal each day so far. There’s no reason we can’t do that again today.
Let’s see if today, as a team, we can get our total to $60,000 - 30% of our total goal!
It’s totally doable - we’ve done it before and we can do it again!
And here’s something that may help…
Check out the official $100 Level Art Print design!
Glorious, isn’t it? It’s like a Where’s Waldo of science toys. This design comes to you from New York Times best-selling author and illustrator Rachel Ignotofsky. Rachel made a special edition of her “Lab Equipment” art print exclusively for this campaign. She even added in some atomic-level imagery to celebrate Beyond the Elements.
Here are the specs:
- Screen printed on 11”x17” premium black paper
- 2-color printing with white and metallic gold ink (oooo! shiny!)
- Limited run only for Kickstarter backers at the $100 level and above. (See the reward descriptions for details.)
- Ships flat! Never folded or rolled!
We’re wishing we had 10 of these for the NOVA office RIGHT NOW. This is going to be spectacular in your science lab, in your living room, or even in your little scientist-in-training’s nursery.
More about the artist...
Rachel just so happens to be a fellow NOVA fan and jumped at the opportunity to create this special piece for the campaign. Here’s what she said about NOVA:
If anyone knows about making it fun to learn, Rachel does. You may have come across her best-seller, Women in Science.
It’s a colorful, informative look at 50 pioneering women who each changed the face of science in their own way. Rachel says that she’s inspired by the stories of these women:
“There is still such a massive gender gap in STEM fields even though girls test just as well as boys do in math and science. I wanted to do what I could to encourage girls to follow their passions. Like the TV programing NOVA and PBS does, cartoons are also a powerful tool when it comes to telling stories. Through illustration, learning becomes about imagination and play, making the densest information accessible and fun.”
Be sure to look out for Rachel’s newest publication - coming on March 7! It’s a journal called I Love Science.
Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your talents with NOVA and supporting the campaign! It’s so cool we can all grab some exclusive art work AND make new NOVA happen. Find Rachel Ignotofsky at her website, Instagram, or Etsy Shop.
