      You disputed the charge with your bank. This further delays the refund process. Although you have lost the dispute in light of facts, we are still issuing you a refund that will show on your statement with 2 to 5 business days. Please note that chargebacks disputes delay the process and during the dispute we will not be able to issue refunds.

      @FrancisChua I have been waiting for my refund since January 17, 2017. I am the original backer and I have written over 50 emails to your company, I should be the first to receive the refund. It is qualified, it's approved, it needs to be refunded already!

      Hello Everyone,

      We apologize for getting late on replying here on Kickstarter board. The reason for the delay was as the season starts, we got more orders for our 1.0. model than anticipated and it all our resources were tied up. 

      For Kickstarter backers, we see there are two main issues. 

      You returned your coat or want to return the coat for an exchange. We will be dealing with all these cases on individual basis. I will be replying to Kickstarter tickets regarding exchanges as a priority. Please email me at info@northaware.com It will take up to 2 weeks to send you the coat because of the winter rush. 

      You have returned your coat and asking for a refund. Although it is a financial strain on the company and we planned to issue all refunds periodically, but because of so much backers concern, we will issuing all qualified refunds right away. Most of you will see the refunds issued in the next couple of days. 

      Again, we are doing our best to address your concerns, hopefully, we will resolve most of the issues around Kickstarter backers by the end of next week. Thank you for your patience.

      If any of you are interested you should include him in your emails as well...even though it has not gotten me any closer to my refund for the jacket i returned over 8 months ago. wtf

      @matthew summers i am in the exact same boat as you. i send daily emails. post comments here. tried to talk to someone in person at their office in Toronto no such luck. these guys are effing with us. i am so pissed off.

      I've been waiting for my refund for almost a year. What can we do here? I sent the jacket back as instructed and still haven't received my refund as promised. Has ANYONE had any luck with this?

      I received the following email from Francis Chua @ North Aware:

      "this is a kickstarter"

      Which, I suppose, is North Aware-ese for go &*^% yourself.
      Problem is, Francis, our Kickstarter relationship ended when your company delivered the coats. After that, many of us entered into a separate contract with North Aware in which North Aware agreed that if we sent our coats to them, North Aware would send us money within 15 days. You are in violation of that contract, and hiding behind Kickstarter just isn't going to fly.

      Let me know if you had a similar contract with North Aware that they have violated. Time for class action.

      I life in Germany and payed for two parkas in this campaign. I still haven‘t received anything from Smart Parka. I have no idea what I can do to get my money back. Does anyone have a hint?

      Hello, I received my jacket last December and was one of the people waiting for the REAL FUR TRIM. I emailed in May and was told to expect it by the end of this year. Can I expect to receive this by year end??? I emailed the person I was in contact with at the beginning of the week and have had NO response...

      Jean I got the exact same email. Emailed them back last week and still havent heard back. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Ontario at the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services; maybe if enough of us file a complaint they will actually do something. Wasn't too much work just need a couple pieces of documents and emails where you attempted to get the refund: https://www.ontario.ca/page/filing-consumer-complaint

      I have to admit my patience and good faith is really running out watching just how many of us are waiting for refunds and how little of us are actually getting them. I can understand overwhelming demand of refunds can be a lenghty process.

      Richard please respond to my latest email with a refund date. It would be greatly appreciated.

      i have emailed CBC.ca and asked for a follow-up story to be done to the one they wrote in oct. 2016 .
      . this article was about the crazy delays in delivering the jackets and all of the changes that north aware made which made backers furious. i have also emailed the Toronto star: eroseman@thestar.ca. she is a journalist thar advocates for consumer rights. i have reached out to CTV news: Pat Foran who also does pieces on consumer alerts ( email is alert@ctv.ca). i know others have emailed CNN and filed complaints with the better business bureau.

      DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! I HAVE RETURNED MY JACKET AND THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING. I HAD TO MAIL IT BACK TWICE SINCE THEY REJECTED IT THE FIRST TIME THEN MADE ME WAIT FOUR MONTHS TO PAY TO RETURN AGAIN. NOW THEY HAVE MY MONEY, MY JACKET AND I STILL HAVE NO REFUND OR RESPONSE FROM THEM. THEY WILL PROBABLY DELETE THIS. THEY'VE BLOCKED ME FROM FACEBOOK AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO WARN PEOPLE OF THE UTTER SCAM THAT IS NORTH AWARE. I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. JUST SEARCH THIS COMPANY ONLINE AND YOU WILL SEE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS EVERYWHERE. THEY PRETEND TO RESPOND TO PUBLIC COMPLAINTS BUT NEVER VIA PRIVATE EMAIL EXCEPT TO GIVE ME THE RUN-AROUND.

      jacket returned by me in February 2017 in same condition i received it along with gloves and t shirt.
      Is jamil khan going to the warehouse to look at the physical jacket to make sure i didn't remove any buttons?

      When will I be receiving my refund? I've exchanged emails multiple times throughout the year to info@northaware.com, orders@northaware.com, and support@northaware.zendesk.com and have gotten responses from several different representatives but never confirming my refund. I was told I would be receiving a refund that would be processed in October, but have not heard back since when I inquired again when the month came. PLEASE RESPOND TO MY EMAILS.

      Gee, I thought I was the only one waiting for the CEO to approve my refund. Isn't it amazing that all I have to do is cut and paste someone else's comments and not even change a thing???? I have gotten the exact same run around with the exact same timeline.

      "If you do not absolutely love your coat, just return it within two weeks and get a full refund of your pledge minus shipping and handling. No questions asked."
      This statement in their campaign is a complete joke. I sent my coats back in as soon as I got them in April and then their warehouse shut down and they couldn't process refunds until September. I patiently waited until September and have continually gotten the run around saying my refund would come in October for sure. Now they are saying it is waiting on approval from the CEO. They do not keep their promises and continually lie to customers.
      I have filed a formal complaint with the Ontario consumer rights group as well.
