      I am not very familiar with social media, but would be happy to help, at least to prevent others from going through the same experience. In the meantime, I am in contact with several third parties to help us with possible legal steps.

      R Groner, thank you for sharing your story. I'm glad you were able to get a refund through your credit card company. For me it's way past the date I can dispute the charge. I agree, we should set up a page for everyone to comment, without this ridiculous cut and paste of FAQs that Brandon does. How do we co-ordinate this, though?

      It's been over a year now since i backed North Aware by ordering a coat.
      The coat was never delivered, and i cancelled my order since.
      NA / Brendan Pannikar wont give me the refund i asked for several times.
      Look at all of North Aware's spam, quoting their faq time and time again,
      pushing all complaints from all customers that feel scammed out of view.
      BUYERS BEWARE ! Next to no positive reviews of North Aware to be found here !
      Brendan, don't slam me with your FAQ again !
      Don't offer to settle this out of bounds by e-mail, which you won't.
      I DEMAND A REFUND ! Just make it happen !

      I'm sharing my story in case it helps others.

      I was one of the earliest backers of the Smart Parka, in February 2016 I ordered two, one for me and one for my husband. With a ship date of August 2016, I figured even if a few months late we would have coats by the time it got cold.

      Obviously, as we all know that didn't happen. September, October, November, December passed and still no coat. I emailed a number of times just to get an update but complete silence in response. Eventually at the beginning of January we couldn't wait anymore and I emailed to say forget about shipping them we are buying other coats, we cant wait any longer. No answer to that email either but about a week later I get an email that they shipped and they arrived after that.

      Aside from the fact that they arrived too late, the quality was also severely lacking. So different to what was promised, the tiny gloves, the ridiculous scarf, the buggy underarms, the whole thing was a mess, so I initiated my refund process as per instructions. I'm given the address where to return it too and asked to provide tracking details.

      I do all of this, I ship it for a large fee because it is going to Canada and the box is huge and then they REFUSE delivery! Over and over again. They claim I am responsible for customs which is insane because it's a return but this goes on for so long the package is returned to me.

      At this point I send an email to Brandon telling him that I will take action against him and what do you know, I finally get a response. He sends me a prepaid label and stupidly I return the coats using that label.

      I say stupidly because did they give me a refund after they received the coats? No, they did not. they ignored my emails again until eventually I got the "we are closed for the season" email. At that point I had enough and I contacted the credit card company where I made the purchase and explained the situation.

      They gave me a temporary credit immediately and just this week I was notified that it is permanent. I advise all of you to do the same.

      Brandon and co think they can continue treating existing customers like shit while trying to attract new business. It's disgusting and they shouldn't be allowed to. I think all of us who have had a bad experience should report them and publicly share these bad experiences so others can see and be spared the same fate. Maybe we should set up a website where they can be publicly available.

      Dear Brendan, Your reply is so full of inconsistencies that I do not even know where to start. Moreover, my questions still remain unanswered.
      Clearly once we hand over our money, North Aware has absolutely no respect for their customers although for some or other reason, some are treated differently than others.
      Any requests/questions here or in the tickets remain unanswered. North Aware only tries to cover themselves to avoid legal issues. It is therefore useless for me to continue this discussion, I will have to follow other paths though I really tried to find a workable solution and real communication since early this year, unfortunately all in vain.

      Hello @Tom Leyman, Here are the answers to your questions. I hope it provides some further clarity as to why this is not such an easy process:

      1. We used a 3rd party shipping company from China and from Canada. We got all of our inventory out of our 3rd party warehouse on the last weekend of May. On Monday June 12th, we got our warehouse racking units installed. Last week Thursday, I put the boxes of inventory on to the racks. That leads us to today. Over the next few weeks, we will be taking the inventory out of the boxes and sorting them to prepare them to be sent out to complete exchanges, or get a handful of people their coats for the first time. Once it's sorted, we will open the returns for refunds and the returns for exchanges to inspect them all to ensure they're in good condition to be re-stocked. There are still many returns that haven't been processed before we moved warehouses. That will take time as well.

      2. Kickstarter backers were eligible to cancel prior to shipment within 30-60 days of making their pledge. Those that backed out, got refunded. If any backers returned their coats and they were inspected at our 3rd party warehouses, they were refunded. Those that didn't have their returns inspected, haven't been refunded...YET. If you haven't received your coat yet, you don't qualify for a refund, as the policy states it must be received first.

      3. It's not a refusal. I've simply told you that we WILL send the goods, but they still need to be taken out of boxes, sorted, and then shipped. It will take time.

      @Brendan; North Aware has been telling me for months now that a coat will be send in 'a few weeks' (that later became months). Why does it takes months to 'set up a warehouse' if so many of your customers have paid up and/or returned their jacket? I have been trying to get an answer to that for ages but you refuse to give any information. North Aware moreover promises that we can get a full refund upon cancelling our order before delivery but also refuses to do so. Please inform us simply
      1. what is the problem with the warehouse so it is impossible to send us our goods?

      "All of our inventory is currently in boxes at our warehouse. Once we're set-up at our warehouse, we will send your coat. It will be a few weeks to a months time. We're not refusing the delivery of your parcel. Once we're set up, it will be sent."

      Our inventory is still in boxes and we're not ready to begin shipping exchanges, processing returns, and more.

      Your claim that we have refused to send your coat is not correct. As I've said many times, we will send your coat. We just need our warehouse to go fully operational.

      It's been over a year now since i backed North Aware by ordering a coat.
      The coat was never delivered, and i cancelled my order since.
      NA / Brendan Pannikar wont give me the refund i asked for several times.
      Look at all of North Aware's spam, quoting their faq time and time again,
      pushing all complaints from all customers that feel scammed out of view.

      How are your products temperature rated?

      Without lining, our coats are good from -5C to -15C. Temperature ratings for our coats with the lining is -15C to -25C.

      Which colours are available in each style?

      All coats come in Black, Hunter Green and Galaxy Blue. For womens' coats, we offer Candy Red as an extra option.

      Is my personal information safe on your site?
