Here is your chance to help design the game!
During the first half of the Kickstarter write in the comments section what kind of chicken you would like to see in the game. Your idea could be in the game!
1. Faction (Might, Magic, Wing)
2. Describe your chicken as clearly as possible.
3. Tell why your chicken should be included in the game.
Entries should be made public and written in the comments section.
Ideas should only be chicken characters so they can fit on a card. Ideas should fit with the theme and world of the game. Ideas should not include any backgrounds or other things that make it too complicated.
Also comment and vote on the ideas you think are the best.
Winners will be announced during the campaign and their ideas will become part of the game. Humorous ideas are highly encouraged.
Elements that went into designing Throne of Chickens.
1. Card game with Chickens with Cauldrons
I like card games and I like chickens. And then add in axes, cauldrons, dead fish, and dragons and it's totally a game I want play. So Throne of Chickens became a game that I totally made.
2. Kid Friendly
I wanted to make a game for all ages. So the game to be light and fun. What's a chicken with a potion plus a chicken with a spear minus chicken with one eye? See, you're having fun already.
3. Interactive Gameplay
Tabletop games give us a reason to hang out with our family and friends. This game involves constant talk with other players as we add up and count each other's cards. Although the game is competitive you'll find yourself working with other players throughout the whole game as you want to keep track of yours and your opponents cards. And you'll see how fun it is to launch a magic chicken attack against other players.
4. Language Independent
This game is intended to be played all around the world and to be suitable for all ages. Thus, the game is entirely language independent. In my first game, I connected with people from all around the world and I am absolutely delighted to share this game with everyone.
*Note final art is subject to change.
To win the game (1) have followers adding up to match the same number as your leader and (2) have exactly 6 followers.
Gameplay consists of drafting new followers each round. Turns pass to the left.
On your turn draft a chicken from the center. They will become your new follower.
As we unlock each stretch goal, every copy of the game will receive the rewards for free!
Living in LA, you randomly run into so many creatives. Last year, I had the happen chance meeting with Andy, part of the Brazilian team that makes the board game Zombicide; and Elan Lee, the creator of the card game Exploding Kittens. I had known that because of Kickstarter we are in a massive rebirth of tabletop games; however, actually meeting people who make these games really inspired me. Plus, both of them flat out told me to go and make my own game.
Less than a year later, my first game, Monster in the Woods was born. Monster was a success and it has launched me into making games full-time.
Throne of Chickens is the next chapter.

Risks and challenges
Fulfilling a successfully backed card game on Kickstarter is straightforward. I will order a print run from the factory to be sent to the distribution center and then they are sent out to all the backers. I've successfully launched and shipped a game on Kickstarter before and do not foresee any problems.
If the campaign gets a massive flood of backers, the print run might take a little longer than expected, but likely only a minimal delay.
I use reliable print and fulfillment companies. Plus, I've kept this campaign as simple as possible to avoid any messy or complicated problems.
If you support this Kickstarter, I'll send you my game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
