All backers will now get to choose from three colors: silver, space grey and gold. At the end of the campaign, we'll send out a survey to ask for your color choice along with your shipping address.
All backers will now get to choose between two Hub+ versions: one without battery, which retains the current 9 mm slimness, and one that is a thicker 13 mm, but has double the battery capacity (800 mAh), which provides up to 4 hours of on-the-go charging for your phone.
We just changed our $1M stretch goal to $900K to make it more achievable. If we reach $900K, we'll include a FREE protective Hub+ case made out of high-quality PU leather and designed in Italy with your Hub+ pledge.
Per our update #12, we're experiencing a 1.5 month delay from our current shipping start date of late June. The time needed to finalize all five types of chipsets that we need is taking longer than expected for a USB 3.0 version of Hub+. We appreciate our backers' understanding and support during this time.

We pride ourselves on our manufacturing expertise and technical know-how due to our co-founders’ 20 years of experience in this area. We have tested our initial batch and are working with a manufacturing partner that we trust and have worked with in the past. We are confident that we can deliver the Hub+ to you on time - if we miss it and experience delays, we'll put on chicken costumes and do the chicken dance for you without hesitation. The mini adapter is a mini USB-C 3.0 to USB-A converter. With it, you can connect your USB-A device to your new MacBook.

Yes, we provide international shipping. We charge a flat fee of $15 USD for under 10 units and a $25 USD fee for over 10 units.
For Hub+, we are delighted to say that we did a round of testing this week (May 11 - May 15) and are excited to have found a stable chipset to support USB-A 3.0. We are now upgrading all of our USB-A ports from 2.0 to 3.0.

When we reach the $500K stretch goal, the battery will be 800 mAh. The Hub+ can provide one phone with up to 4 hours of battery life. When charging off the internal battery the power output is .5A. When the unit is plugged into a power source, it can output the full BC 1.2 standard spec power.

Yes, it does charge your computer while you are using all other devices. Hub+ is designed to have 2 USB-C ports, one that connects to your power adapter and one that connects to your new MacBook.

I don't have my new Macbook yet, can this hub be used utilizing only the USB type A ports instead of the C?
Sorry, Hub+ can't be used as a USB-A hub. It is designed specifically for the USB-C port of new MacBook 12".
Our Hub+ currently only supports one monitor. However, you can use a display hub such as a MST (multi stream transport) hub to connect two monitors to Hub+.
Yes, the USB-C to USB-C cable will be included with the Hub+.
The display port we are using is 1.2 and it supports 4k at 60hz.
The USB-C port is only for charging, not for data. It is a similar design to Apple's MultiPort.
Yes, it does support digital audio.
No, the Hub+ does not work with Thunderbolt Display.
After the campaign is finished, Kickstarter will send a final survey link to you. Then, you can choose the color you want.
Please note: the space grey and gold color option is part of our $250K stretch goal. Please help spread the word introducing Hub+ to your friends. The earlier we can reach the stretch goal, the quicker we can let everyone know that we will be offering the space grey and gold colors for the Hub+.
No, it does not need to be connected to external power. It works with the MacBook's USB-C.
