Project Update XXII: International update

Hello Backers,

All European backer units will ship by Tuesday.

We have been listening to Asian and Australian backers regarding your frustration with the delay and have been working daily with our factory to ship. Unfortunately, we ran into an unforeseen circumstance with our motor vendor this week. The motor vendor switched out an internal chip without telling us. It took some time to diagnose the issue, and now the motors are now being reworked.

More information on the timeline for the reworked motors and subsequent assembly will reach us by Sunday. We expect production to resume next week, and it should take only 1-2 days to produce units for all our Asian/Australian backers, then about a week for the rest of our pre-orders from our website.

We will make sure to provide global updates for Asian and Australian backers and pre-orders as we work together to resolve this issue. Hopefully our transparency is helpful to you, we want to ship!

Thank you for your support,

Lisa, Abe, Bam, Patrick, and Monica

Love is the right assessment. In Germany we have a saying „Liebe geht durch den Magen“ … (in english it's a little more chauvinistic and genderbased: "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach")… :-) … in this sense I do love my Nomiku. It was worth the wait!

My european version is in the local post office, but I can't get it until Monday! Time to do reindeer burgers sous vide... Arctic char and moose tenderloin next weekend!

Lucky EU. I can't even muster the energy to be angry anymore. Just want to get the unit and close the chapter on this whole saga.

I never imagined what a journey the design and fabrication of the Nomiku would be when I backed your project so long ago. Fortunately I received my USA version late last year and since perfected my rib eyes. Everyone has been impressed with them.

I can only imagine the frustration the team is having trying to get Nomikus produced with disparate companies and their staff. Thanks for putting in the hours and not giving up. I LOVE my Nomiku to the detriment of high priced steak houses everywhere I go! Why pay $50 for a good steak when I can make a better one for $15?
