Did the international versions ever ship out? I never received mine and messages to the team are unanswered.

    2. Creator E. Houde on November 11

Whatever happened to all the backer parties?

    3. Creator Uwe Montree on October 21

Hi Lisa, should I have received my unit by now?

    4. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on August 14, 2014

@Jen Caputo thank you! We haven't forgotten about you, it's in the works!

    5. Creator Jen Caputo on August 13, 2014

Congrats on your new project. I was wondering if a date was scheduled for the Chicago party yet?

    6. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on August 1, 2014

Hey @Qasim, let us help you troubleshoot, the fastest way to reach us is info@nomiku.com or help@nomiku.com, thank you for the message!

    7. Creator Qasim Hussain on July 1, 2014

@Lisa. I received my unit a couple of weeks ago, thanks. However, the unit does not seem to be working. The water seem to be circulating fine but the is not getting heated at all and the temperature keeps falling. Any suggestions?

    8. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on May 25, 2014

@Juergen @Antti So sorry to hear about the issues you both are experiencing! My colleague Patrick will be following up with you shortly! Thanks so much!

    9. Creator Juergen Kimmel on May 25, 2014

Maybe no EU citizen received the right cable. I also was lucky to such cable at home.
But: My Nomiku's temperature runs like crazy most of the time. Lukewarm water shows 70° C and temperature is still rising up to 120°C. Any ideas?

    10. Creator Antti Plathan on May 24, 2014

@Lisa, I received my CE unit couple a weeks ago. I have two questions about it:

      1) The touch screen is already peeling off. When I unpacked the Nomiku, the touch screen sticker was already 1/4 unpeeled and I was able to see the cables and electronics inside the Nom.

      2) The green wheel rotates freely, i.e. there is no damping, resistance or any other form of haptic feedback in the temperature setting ring. Is this how you designed it, or could my unit be missing something? The temperature setting works fine, but it feels Über cheap.

@Lisa - just wanted to say that I heard from Patrick already - you guys are awesome - really happy I supported the project.

p.s., I'm waiting on some 48 hour corned beef brisket - should make some nice weekend Reuben sandwiches!

    12. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on May 23, 2014

Hi Gary! Asian backers' units should be shipping out at the end of the month--update coming very soon!
@Annette, so sorry about the wrong plug! We recently discovered that our supplier sent the wrong cables to our warehouse. Thank you for your flexibility! Don't forget to check out bagsoakeat.com or our blog at blog.nomiku.com for yummy inspiration and recipes :D
@JBW My colleague Patrick Wong will be following up with you shortly!
      Thank you all!

    13. Creator JBW on May 23, 2014

@Marshall Simmons - my power supply is insanely loud - louder than the actual immersion circulator. It's so loud that I can hear it a couple of rooms away and feel like I need to close the kitchen door. Not sure why the power supply even needs to make noise?

    14. Creator Annette Nordheim on May 20, 2014

Got mine yesterday, also with the wrong cable. Fortunately we had a spare at home, no need to send another. But for the future, please note that Norway (and most of Europe) don't use British plugs :)

Now to decide what nom to cook first... Yay!

    15. Creator gary yeo on May 11, 2014

    16. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on May 8, 2014

Hi Kristian, so sorry to hear about the heavy import fee and getting the wrong cable--my colleague will follow up with your shortly!

    17. Creator Kristian Aasgård on May 8, 2014

$120 dollar import fee did hurt, but atleast I have mine now. Mine also came with the wrong cable.

    18. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on May 7, 2014

Hi Patrick, Marshall, Henrik, and Jan! Sorry to hear about these issues--someone on my team will be following up with you immediately! We look forward to getting all these issues sorted out!

    19. Creator Jan Åge Johnsen on May 7, 2014

Got the wrong power cable as well. As Henrik I should have received two C13/C14 couplers, but now I have two C7/C8 in addition to the two C13/C14 couplers.

    20. Creator Henrik Backlund on May 7, 2014

There was a clear cable mixup at the EU repacking facility I think. The cable in the box was UK plug to a IEC 60320 C13/C14 coupler. What would have been expected as an "extra" was an EU plug to a C13/C14 coupler. What was actually supplied was UK plug to C7/C8, which fits neither the wall nor the nomiku. Thankfully I have tons of the proper cables lying around from other devices, but it's good to know in case you don't. Reference to the couplers: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_connector

    21. Creator Marshall Simmons on May 5, 2014

      Hello
Is anyone else unit making a loud grinding noise? It's coming from the power supply? I have a US unit.

      Thanks
      Marshall

    22. Creator Patrick Scholz on April 30, 2014

Hey, CE Unit 00052 arrived. The only drawback is that I received an UK power cord (additionally to the grey one in the box itself was another black UK cord in the outer packaging). Stealing a cord from my PC to at least turn the Nomiku on made me stumble over another issue: The power-box emits a low-to-medium buzzing noise, even with the unit turned off. Is that normal?

    23. Creator Miguel Marcos on April 29, 2014

Just an FYI, I live in Madrid, Spain and received my Nomiku yesterday. Yet to put it in action, though.

    24. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on April 25, 2014

Hello jdseilson, we're working to finish all of our CE units first, it's all hands on deck. Rest assured, we're coming!

Thank you Andrew and Max! We have brand new recipes all the time on bagsoakeat.com, blog.nomiku.com, and our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EatNomiku

    25. Creator Max Ziebell on April 23, 2014

Oh my god! Believe it or not but I was a Sous-Vide-Virgin and waited for my Nomiku date all this time (living in Germany duo to the CE-Sign). My taste-buds exploded and are still sparkling with joy… I ate the best Steak I ever tasted and I made it right in my kitchen. I still can't believe this. Slowly the worry is dawning on me that I'll probably gain weight! Help :-)

    26. Creator Andrew Cook on April 15, 2014

Came back from trip, to find my UK nomiku waiting for me. Bringing water up to temperature now!

    27. Creator jdskeilson on April 9, 2014

Any updates on the other backer parties? I haven't seen anything on the DC party yet.

    28. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on April 2, 2014

Justin, the Chicago party will happen later this year, but no solid plans yet. We're actually on the lookout for a venue--do you have any recommendations? We've run into some issues because it seems like venues are wary of doing sous vide. If you have any ideas, please shoot Patrick@Nomiku.com an email--he's heading up our marketing tour :) Thank you, thank you!

    29. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on April 2, 2014

Hi Steve! An update will be released soon. We've recently heard back from Customs and are now just waiting for some final logistics to get sorted out between them and our factory. Stay tuned! Thank you so much for your patience!

    30. Creator Steve Walsh on April 2, 2014

I know things are probably in holding waiting for other parties, but any chance we can get an update on the 220V shipping status? Even a "no change, still waiting on customs paperwork" would be good.

    31. Creator Justin Uy on April 2, 2014

Heya Lisa! Any word on when the Chicago backer party is going to happen?

    32. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on March 17, 2014

Sitting here in the UK feeling left out - half a million dollars and soon we will be two years down the line since funding - bored now

    34. Creator Lisa Q. Fetterman on March 17, 2014

Hey everyone thanks for checking in. Our next step is to pay our factory and have it go through customs. If you need to reach me faster please email info@nomiku.com.

21st is Nowruz a.ka. Persion New Year.
Maybe you guys mixed that one up with the Chinese one?

Seriously are you ever going to ship something, the Sansaire which funded what seems like centuries after your products is already arriving at the backers?

    36. Creator Richard Perera on March 16, 2014

...and another one for "where are we with the 220v units"? Time is dragging on...

Another Bump on an update for the 220/240V version. Is it going to make it out in time before the factories close down, or will there be further delays?

    42. Creator Derek Chan on January 19, 2014

Umm any updates on 220V? Its looking like we won't make it in time before the Chinese New Year factory shutdown.

    43. Creator Rick Skubic on January 16, 2014

Lisa, any idea when the Chicago backer party is going to happen?

I have a problem with my Nomiku and have sent multiple email requests to info@nomiku.com with no response. What is the best way to communicate with someone that help resolve my problem? Thanks. Steve

    49. Creator Alexander Krivács Schrøder on November 29, 2013

Yes, please provide some updates on the 240V situation... haven't heard anything from you in a while... I assume we won't be getting them until 2014 sometime, but you can at least tell us how it's going. Are they in production? Is your factory still blocking you? What's up?

    50. Creator Nathan Kulinitsch on November 26, 2013

Exactly what i was going to ask... Us poor 240v backers :(
