In the past few months, my Nomiku would stop working at higher temps (160F +) saying the engine was stuck... no problem at lower temps though (below 150F).
Last night while I was doing chicken at 145, the Nomiku failed, and the engine would not start up again no matter how many times I reset. Help?
I have never received the Nomiku. Please help.
Did the international versions ever ship out? I never received mine and messages to the team are unanswered.

@Lisa. I received my unit a couple of weeks ago, thanks. However, the unit does not seem to be working. The water seem to be circulating fine but the is not getting heated at all and the temperature keeps falling. Any suggestions?

Maybe no EU citizen received the right cable. I also was lucky to such cable at home.
But: My Nomiku's temperature runs like crazy most of the time. Lukewarm water shows 70° C and temperature is still rising up to 120°C. Any ideas?
@Lisa, I received my CE unit couple a weeks ago. I have two questions about it:
1) The touch screen is already peeling off. When I unpacked the Nomiku, the touch screen sticker was already 1/4 unpeeled and I was able to see the cables and electronics inside the Nom.
2) The green wheel rotates freely, i.e. there is no damping, resistance or any other form of haptic feedback in the temperature setting ring. Is this how you designed it, or could my unit be missing something? The temperature setting works fine, but it feels Über cheap.

@Marshall Simmons - my power supply is insanely loud - louder than the actual immersion circulator. It's so loud that I can hear it a couple of rooms away and feel like I need to close the kitchen door. Not sure why the power supply even needs to make noise?
Got mine yesterday, also with the wrong cable. Fortunately we had a spare at home, no need to send another. But for the future, please note that Norway (and most of Europe) don't use British plugs :)
Now to decide what nom to cook first... Yay!

$120 dollar import fee did hurt, but atleast I have mine now. Mine also came with the wrong cable.

Got the wrong power cable as well. As Henrik I should have received two C13/C14 couplers, but now I have two C7/C8 in addition to the two C13/C14 couplers.
There was a clear cable mixup at the EU repacking facility I think. The cable in the box was UK plug to a IEC 60320 C13/C14 coupler. What would have been expected as an "extra" was an EU plug to a C13/C14 coupler. What was actually supplied was UK plug to C7/C8, which fits neither the wall nor the nomiku. Thankfully I have tons of the proper cables lying around from other devices, but it's good to know in case you don't. Reference to the couplers: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_connector
Is anyone else unit making a loud grinding noise? It's coming from the power supply? I have a US unit.
Hey, CE Unit 00052 arrived. The only drawback is that I received an UK power cord (additionally to the grey one in the box itself was another black UK cord in the outer packaging). Stealing a cord from my PC to at least turn the Nomiku on made me stumble over another issue: The power-box emits a low-to-medium buzzing noise, even with the unit turned off. Is that normal?
Just an FYI, I live in Madrid, Spain and received my Nomiku yesterday. Yet to put it in action, though.

Oh my god! Believe it or not but I was a Sous-Vide-Virgin and waited for my Nomiku date all this time (living in Germany duo to the CE-Sign). My taste-buds exploded and are still sparkling with joy… I ate the best Steak I ever tasted and I made it right in my kitchen. I still can't believe this. Slowly the worry is dawning on me that I'll probably gain weight! Help :-)

Justin, the Chicago party will happen later this year, but no solid plans yet. We're actually on the lookout for a venue--do you have any recommendations? We've run into some issues because it seems like venues are wary of doing sous vide.
