Deceptively simple in appearance but meticulous in its detailing. The Line collection is for the individual who appreciates thoughtful, contemporary design and honest craftsmanship.
The Line timepieces are designed to act as precise tools for measuring time while retaining a playful edge. Each face features typical numerical, minute and hour markings but re-arranged in new compositions to add a fresh contemporary look.
The Line collection comprises of two distinctly styled watches, the Inline and the Outline.
The Inline moves all of the markings towards the centre of the dial leaving a clean outer band. The numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 combined with the positioning and line weight of the hour and minute increments result in a beautifully minimalist dial.
The Outline combines the hour markings and all 12 numbers away from the edge of the dial, setting them within an array of elongated minute increments.
Seeking to create something that would age gracefully every material has been selected with careful consideration. The result is a charming balance of form and function.

A textured steel case, mimicking cast iron, injects a subtle element of Gaelic coarseness into the design. The texture visually speaks about the manufacturing process and shows the solidity of the material that sets it apart from other watches on the market.
A smooth chamfered hexagonal crown complements the case, and a Swiss made movement allows you to keep accurate time wherever you may travel.

The movement is the beating heart of any watch. Although hidden from sight this essential mechanism will determine the precision of your timepiece. For this reason the Line collection utilises a Swiss made movement that is widely regarded as the very best within the quartz category. Swiss quality and a 10 year battery life will ensure perfect timekeeping for many years to come.

The crystal clear scratch resistant glass has a chamfered edge that blends out to the thin edge of the case and beautifully warps the hour/minute markers when viewed from the side.

Crafted from organic Swedish leather from the renowned tannery Tärnsjö Garveri, the vegetable-tanned strap will rest comfortably around your wrist, as carefully spaced notches ensure a precise fit.
"Our tannery is among the remaining 5% of tanning houses worldwide who still employ the tradition of vegetable tanning in favour of the more time and cost-efficient chrome excel method. The fact that the resulting aesthetic is of unparalleled quality and beauty is a welcome and much cultivated benefit." Tärnsjö Garveri.
The connection of the single component strap to the case is created by two extruded registrations clamping the pressed leather to the case via a cleverly engineered steel engraved plate and 4 micro screws. This lifts the case allowing it to float above the wrist and produce a smaller area that touches the wrist in order to improve comfort and breathability.
The custom clasp is cast-moulded from highly durable stainless steel with the Nomad logo discreetly etched on it's edge.

Nomad will work with leading design studios for each collection released. For the release of the Line collection we have worked with renowned industrial designer Samuel Wilkinson.
Samuel Wilkinson’s commitment and enthusiasm to designing interesting objects and spaces is apparent in his work. Always looking to add a fresh dynamic approach his deep understanding of materials and manufacturing helps push the boundaries in achieving a high level of detail and craftsmanship.
In 2011 Samuel’s design of the Plumen 001 light bulb and the hand blown glass lamps Vessel Series won international acclaim. Plumen 001 collected the grand prizes from the London Design Museum of ‘Design of the Year’ and ‘Product of the Year’, while also receiving the highly coveted ‘Black pencil’ from the D&AD. His designs have been published worldwide and are included in permanent collections of the MOMA, The Cooper-Hewitt collection, and The V&A.

Nomad is comprised of self-confessed watch and design enthusiasts Kelsey and Alan Moore. Hailing from Canada and Northern Ireland respectively they now live in Glasgow, Scotland with their 4 month old son Eligh.
In April 2010 Kelsey and Alan launched a company called Twisted Time. Twisted Time was the first online watch store specialising in design focused watches from up and coming brands and designers. To this day Kelsey and Alan continue to personally review and choose the best watch designs to be stocked on the virtual shelves of Twisted Time.
After years of working in the watch industry Kelsey and Alan set out to create their perfect watch under the brand name Nomad.
"Having worked within the watch industry for over six years, we felt that our perfect watch hadn't yet been created - a truly unique watch that marries finely tuned design with genuine quality. So we decided to make our own." Kelsey & Alan Moore.
The name Nomad reflects our desire for ever-changing surroundings and exploration through design. Calling on a global network of collaborators, each watch will carry the clean lines and durable sensibilities of Nomad, as well as nuances of the designer's own environment. From this core ethos, every watch we make will not only have true design integrity, but it will also be an authentic reflection of Nomad - it will be a product with a real story, and something we're proud of.

Risks and challenges
We have worked with out production partners for over a year now and have full trust in them so we can't foresee any major challenges at this point. All moulds and tooling have been created and were used for the samples so we are confident everything is in place to ramp up production.
However, we will not ship anything that we are not 100% happy with so if there are any bumps in the road we will of course be fully transparent with all of our backers so you are kept in the loop throughout the entire process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
