Update way PAST DUE...bitterness is going to taint my meals. Don’t forget to spit in the food before it ships. Happy Holidays.
PING! You've got folks looking for an update. It's December 11th. Update #6 mentioned November for shipment. Do right by your backers, time for an update.
I feel disappointed with this campaign. I just had a look on the nomad website and anyone can purchase 6 meals for about the same thing or less as te reward in campaign.
I backed early bird 5meals +1free. For 49$ +15 shipping =64$ which I then found on on my credit card was USD (no mention on campaign or Kickstarter anywhere). So it cost 82$cad total : 13.66 per meal.
Now on nomad website 4meals is 59$cad (10%discount if you register email so 53$). Add 2 extra meals for 15 each that’s 89 or 83$cad. Website says free shipping above 50$ but confusing if it’s usd or cad. Fine print in shipping terms say free shipping above 85$cad.
So anyways campaign wasn’t that good of deal! Also I haven’t received the meals yet and I can see I’m not the only one based on the other comments.
Also communication after campaign was poor. I didn’t get any notification for updates or for the survey requesting info. Not sure if that more nomad or Kickstarter fault.
Team, looking for an update. It's been a while since the last one - what's going on there in never-never land?
Can you update me as to when this will ship?
Filled out survey and sent email on Nov 7th and have not heard a word. Please reply and give an update. Thanks!
An update would be appreciated. When do you expect to ship?
Your website says we can order meals, but you haven't said anything here on kickstarter after your campaign ended
Any updates since successfully funding? Looking forward to tasty treats!
Congratulations and looking forward to trying your meals! How do we arrange a pick up option for those who are local?
Awesome! sound good, Glad i found your project and i'm looking forward to the next of this year and coming year of tasty good food :)
@Taylor Ingram - thank you for backing our subscription box 3!!! You are amazing!
All of our meals are going to remain plant-based, gluten free, dairy free, soy free, palm oil free and Non-GMO
We are currently working on a number of different recipes and we should have at least 1 that is market ready before the end of the year!
sorry for all the questions. I just backed the box 3 (free shipping) and i was wondering when your planning introducing new meals? and are they going to be vegan as well?
ONLY 3 days left until this campaign is all over. Please tell everyone interested to back us before these deals are all gone! http://kck.st/2xNLpNw
@Taylor Ingram - We will canvas all packers and let you choose the right meal mix you want. We'll work with you to make your order fit your needs!
@ Taylor Ingram - The Irish Shepherd's Pie and Indian Stew are actually not the same ingredients. We've had some issues with our designers and it came out in the Kickstarter. You will be able to taste the difference.
If we back the 345 tier will we be able to pick the different meals or do we have to get 12 of each?
It looks like Irish shepherd's pie and Indian lentil stew share the same ingredients, is this a mistake as well?
Thanks for the response! I'm actually a vegan so that's great to hear :)
Today we reached 100% funding! Amazing! Thank you everyone!
Let’s break some Kickstarter records and show just how great the Nomad community is! Our success is because of backers like you who share so let’s keep this momentum going! Tell everyone you know - http://kck.st/2fWs5Kt
@Taylor Ingram - all of our recipes are Plant Based (vegan) Trust us you won't care there there is no meat in our meals. They are tasty and filling even without meat!
@Taylor Ingram - the ingredient photo was our bad. We don't have a fancy marketing company making out Kickstarter page.... so some mistakes were made. We fixed the Irish Shepherd's Pie. the Ingredient deck is correct now.
The ingrediants for Hungarian Goulash and Irish Shepherd's Pie are exactly the same, are they supposed to be the same only with different amounts of stuff or is this an mistake?
I was wondering if your food is vegan?
@Helen Timson - Hi Helen!
Thank you for the well wishes! We feel you in regards to being celiac and gluten free. We do have a couple of rewards that do ship to the UK. So please have a look at the reward that suits you best!
-The Nomad Crew
This looks absolutely awesome. I'm vegetarian but unwell so lack the mojo to prepare nutritious meals - I've also just discovered I'm coeliac - so these meals tick all the boxes. I wish you much success and cant wait to be able to buy them.
Please don't forget us in the UK and make sure we can order them on-line before they hit the shops. x
@ Tony Karian - You're absolutely right! We now are offering a full case (12 meals) and free shipping in North America ($40 international) with the Believer and Hero levels.
Thanks for this suggestion!
@Mihir Patel - Again, we used a third party translator to translate our ingredients into French. For whatever reason the French was so poor they included words like flesh and skin to describe potatoes!? We're going to post a video of our cooking soon, to show there is no animal flesh in our cooking. We apologize for this debacle.
@ Future Vision - we used a third party to translate our ingredients into French for our Canadian neighbors. No one bothered to look at the French to notice that the word for Sundried Tomatoes they translated had the word Sulphur dioxide next to it.
While we are certain that our sundried tomatoes do not include Sulphur Dioxide. Some sundried tomato manufacturers do still use that preservative. If you are deathly allergic to this chemical then please refrain from purchasing our meals until we have traced and audited our sundried tomato manufacturer. Rest assured, if we find out that our ingredients contain chemical preservatives we will immediately get rid of them and switch to a more natural supplier.
I noticed that as well. Now they have done some corrections to all of the meal pictures. I initially saw 'flesh and skin' in one of the meal that's why I ,too, asked if products are for vegetarians.
The Sulphur Dioxide is listed in the Irish Shepherds Pie and Indian Red Lentil Stew.
Hi! I have a question about your Believer and Hero levels. Do they include any food or free shipping, or are they just a discount code for the backers to purchase with? Since they are the highest levels I'd expect the same food and shipping as the next lower levels, but I don't see that...
@Daria Terekhina - Thank you so much for your kind words and your support of our project!
@T New - us too! We've got plenty in the works.
@Katrina Hennessy - Thank you so much for backing our project! While we consider our recipes to be allergen free, because they are all Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Palm Oil Free, we do recognize that we could do better to cater to other allergens as well.
The shelf life of our products are 3 years.
@ Future Vision - Can you please point us in the direction of where you see Sulphur Dioxide in our packaging? We can assure you we have NEVER used such chemical preservatives in our cooking. And we NEVER will.
I see Sulphur Dioxide in some of the packages. I would be ok with the ones that do not have this added. I thought you advertised no preservatives? Sulphur Dioxide is defiantly a preservative I try and avoid. Perhaps you can update your formula to eliminate it? Thanks!
Absolutely amazing food!! Finally!!
Would love to see the borscht!
@Nomad Nutrition - I like the principles in play here so I have backed, even though allergies will prevent me from eating these in any but emergency situations. I may give them away to those in greater need than I. What is the shelf life of these products?
Got it! Thanks for clarifying.
Hi Mihir Patel, the Hungarian Goulash as well as all the other recipes are 100% plant-based, and are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, palm oil free, with no added preservatives or chemicals.
The following are the ingredients in the Hungarian Goulash: Onion, Potatoes, Peppers, Lentils, Zuchini, Tomatoes, Carrots, Mushrooms, Olive Oil, Garlic, Smocked Paprika, Spices, Sea Salt.
Our meals are optimized for athletic performance and have a great protein profile which are cruelty and meat free!
NOICE!!!! Except the goulash? Because there is "flash and skin" in your ingredients. Does that represents from a vegetable?
MIhir, All of the meals are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Hello! Good luck on your campaign. Just a quick question which meal packs are suitable for vegetarians and for vegans?
