Hi, I’m Kory, the creator of No Context. I have always loved playing games, especially those that are fun cross-generationally and flexible enough for a variety of situations. I was on a road trip with my family and started asking them questions as a fun way to pass the time. Once we arrived at our destination, I tweaked how we played the game to include the family we met up with. The team version of No Context was born!
It has been a fun journey of play testing with family and friends (and co-workers), adjusting based on what rocked or sucked, and creating this game for you to enjoy.
The standard version of No Context is 3 rounds with 8 questions each. But there are other versions that are fun!
435 question cards to test how well you know your friends plus up to 65 "create a card" submissions from you during this campaign for a max total of 500 cards! (Answer sheets are included in the print and play version and can also be downloaded from http://nocontextgame.com.)
I'm excited to be working with the following companies to make sure the backend of this campaign runs as smoothly as possible:
No Context will be published by Ad Magic, the leaders in game publishing. They're the manufacturing geniuses behind other games like Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, and Bears vs Babies.
Shipmonk is one of the leaders in 3rd party order fulfillment and distribution, and changing the way that businesses think about fulfilling. They offer some great incentives including 100% order accuracy and same day fulfillment.
For this campaign, we're using BackerKit to keep fulfillment on track and make sure backers get the right rewards at the right time.
Risks and challenges
I really, really care about getting a game to you that you're going to love. There are always challenges with any new project - especially since this type of work is interdependent and this is my first time bringing a game to market. However, I have spent a significant amount of time researching and talking to many different companies that have experience with this process to ensure that I have accounted for the potential issues.
Issues I may run into, being my first time, may include printing or shipping issues that delay the anticipated delivery date. However, I am confident that I have worked through all potential pitfalls and have various options when it comes time to solving potential future issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
