Hello, I'm Frederick Cooper and I've been drawing for what seems like my entire life. It's what I'm most passionate about. Ever since I was a child, horror movies captivated me and fueled my love of drawing. For decades that was just a personal interest while I worked commercially as an artist. However, I didn't find myself fulfilled in it. Through the support of my kids, I decided to leave that career behind and pursue my passion for horror through my artistic endeavors. I could not have imagined how blessed I would be with the response I've received since. Because of the love you've given me I am proud to welcome you all to my first art book, Vereor Nox: The Art of Frederick Cooper.
When completed, this will be the first work by my family company, Nitt & Jib Jib, which will be housing the future passion projects and books from myself and my son Joseph Cooper. Now I'm going to hand it off to my son who can explain the book details to you all.
Vereor Nox: The Art of Frederick Cooper is a 100 page softcover art book at 8.5 x 11 inches. It includes favorites and never before seen artwork based on classic horror greats along with commentary of the artist's movie and artistic inspirations. There will also be a step-by-step breakdown of his drawing process with artwork arranged in stages. On top of all this, your pledge amount can also get you a copy of Vereor Nox signed, a unique sketch by the artist, premium prints, or even have your own book accompanied with original artwork. And finally we are also pleased to announce that this book will be featuring a foreword by Sam Irvin, the award-winning director of Elvira’s Haunted Hills and executive producer of Gods and Monsters.
All prints are exclusive to Kickstarter! These three 8.5 x 11'' prints come together to form our Icons of Horror Print Set, displaying three of the biggest names in classic horror - Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, and Boris Karloff. All three Icons of Horror prints will be coming to you at a luxurious 600 DPI resolution on archival print stock.
EDIT: We now have available a small collection of 24"x36" glow in the dark silk screen posters from the classic movie An American Werewolf in London.
We also have original art for sale for those interested in something truly unique from the artist. Not only will all pieces be featured in this art book but we will be adding more original artwork as the campaign continues so STAY TUNED!
Edit: We now will have black and white original art alongside color works! We will be adding new artwork online throughout the whole campaign.
Update: We've had lots of original artwork already sell - too many to share here entirely. For the rest of the list of sold original art tiers, check the link below.
