I saw this business card holder and instantly knew I needed to turn it into a watercolor kit that I can carry in my pocket. So I did and now have something to bring everywhere!
I really don't even feel that it's there. I've painted in coffee shops, libraries and more. Not taking up a lot of space or making a mess.
And it's a lot of fun working with a limited palette and paper size.
This is the prototype, but final will be very close to this. Instead of a bottle cap, the large well on the right will be used to hold water while you paint. Just wipe it out when you're done.
I like making things, experimenting and doing small scale production runs. The Pocket Watercolor Kit ticks all those boxes for me and I'd like to make a small run of these for you lovely people of Kickstarter!
- 10 cut-to-size sheets of watercolor paper
- 12 random colors in a plastic tray with an empty well for water
- Paintbrush that fits inside
That's all you need to start creating art anywhere!
Risks and challenges
Vacuum forming the tray might be a little tricky. It's pretty small so I need to experiment more with that. Everything else is straightforward and tested. It's a small production run and if I find anything, I can quickly solve it.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
