About this project
Simple and easy to use.
Light, small & portable.
You can take it everywhere, that's the point. It weights less than an iPad Air and it's smaller than the ukulele.
Leano is a bit magical. It holds the position regardless of how much you fidget around or weigh.
Works on any surface
There is no need to stick Leano into the ground to use it. You can use it on basically any surface, however, you should use it with care if the surface is really smooth (glass, tiles).
Strong, handcrafted wooden frame
Made from carefully selected local beech wood, to make it strong but light.
Durable fabrics in summer colours
Sand, stones and grass are often the surface of the most enjoyable places. Now, they can also be comfortable. And for everyday use, you can simply put Leano in a washing machine and dry it in half an hour.
We're opensourcing it too!
We really want to see people using what we make, because we make them for you and don't believe people should be forced to buy our products.
So if you're creative just like us, we would like to invite you to make your own Leano. Find how we make Leanos here.
It took us many hours relaxing
and working. Story begins two years ago when Nik was sitting under a tree on a sunny day and he thought how nice it would be if he could take that tree with him to lean on it anywhere.
That's when Nik started to work on an old beach chair and soon after created first Leano which has been made out of aluminium frame. After a lot of testing (sitting outside on a sunny day) it gradually became smaller and it wasn't until this year that Nik decided it should be wooden.
What do we need funds for?
We already have functional prototypes and now we just need enough sources to get the production started. To do so, we will need to cover the costs of the materials, tools, place and work. When we cover these basic costs, we will start producing Leanos.
Meet the Leano team
Do you know the feeling when people around you share the same perspectives and easily connect with what you breathe for? That means that life introduced you to people you can always lean on.
We're a small team of friends who love life and everything that it offers. The pleasure of bringing people together gives us enthusiasm for creating and discovering new solutions - things we love to share with others.

Risks and challenges
We have been developing Leano for over 2 years now and we made sure that we back ourselves with people who have even more experience with production, working with tools and shipping. They are our mentors and they make sure we don't make stupid mistakes that could postpone delivery date.
We promise that WE WILL ALWAYS UPDATE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. Honesty is one of our core values and we will stick to that no matter what. :)
There are a few things that we have been solving for the past few months to make sure that delivery date won't postpone. Since we are not ordering sticks and fabrics in large quantities, we depend on the occupancy of the producers. Fabric for one is only produced in large bulks and we have to wait between orders.
To overcome this challenge we are connected with multiple providers and producers.
Nik will also be really strict at quality control as our main goal is making a product that will work as promised for a long time.
To avoid inaccurracies due to large quantities, Nik will make sure to check production regularly and not just at the end.
