Ryan Chaffin is the founder of NFNT.

His company is listed running from May 2012 – May 2014, guess it went bankrupt?

I just took mine out of the box after 2 years.

Hey, anyone out there want to send me their broken Big Woody? Actually, all I need is the metal clasp, since mine broke (you could put it in an envelope to Steve at 21 Hickory Hill Rd, Wayland, MA 01778 and make someone happy for a first class stamp!). Frankly, I wasn't that mad since honestly I wore it for a year and got so many compliments it was worth it. I really liked this watch and am sorry other people had a bad experience and apparently these guys went bust. Dang!

$65 dollars.. I could have seriously gotten a much better watch at the same price. This is what they call greenwashing I guess, I'm having serious doubt about the supposed environmentally friendliness of this product.

Sham. I hope kickstarter find this guy and sue him.

Yea, I left the watch in the box for couple of months before finally start to wear it, it only took a week or two for one of the "N" to fall of, and in two months' time, every letter on is now sticking to the cover instead of the wood/bamboo.

I decided to come here first to see if anyone else had the same problem... LO AND BEHOLD!

What a sham. I guess I'll just fix it myself.

This and so many kickstarter projects have gone awry it's maddening, this other watch I bought, the "thinnest watch", yea, money's gone and nothing's came back. WTF

The first N in NFNT fell off of my watch. I brought it to kiosk in the mall near me. They fixed it for $25. Might be your best bet.

Did this company go out of business? I just randomly thought of them today and looked them up, no Facebook, no Twitter, and no website anymore! Crazy. Anyone know what happened? Did this guy take the money and run?

    9. Michael Cameron (deleted) on April 6, 2015

@Kevin, I would definitely like to know how you fixed it. I actually kind of like the marks the metal pieces leave behind when they fall off. I might just remove all of the pieces (definitely their logo) if I can get it open.

    10. maarten on April 1, 2015

Kevin, I am very interested to see your instructions to see if they can help me fix my loose markers.

    11. Tim on March 31, 2015

Most the logos are bouncing about inside my watch. Shambles of a project. The packaging is better quality than the product. They should be ashamed.

I had the same problem with the logo and markers falling off. I have, with some effort and lots of squinting fixed it completely! I'll post instructions somewhere if people are interested.

@Christopher Caswell, would you sell your Big Woody? I'd buy it from you. I broke mine. :( Is it a 50 mm, no date?

    14. Christopher Caswell on March 10, 2015

Mines been sitting in its box since I got it. Still looks new and nothings falling apart.

    15. Michael Cameron (deleted) on February 20, 2015

to those whose logos or hour legends are dropping off, it is possible to dismantle the watch and then super glue it back.. i used a needle to help me.

you can use a needle to trial and error. it is not the exact red spot but somewhere near it.

i have dismantled the watch to apply glow in the dark paint on the hands, but it wasn't a good idea as it became too thick and blocked the movement of the hands. i even applied acrylic spray and paint on all the wooden surface area on the watch as fungi would grow on the bamboo in my humid climate. so it is perfectly fine for you to dismantle the watch and fix back the fallen pieces IF you can remove the stem.

    22. iamtheceo on August 4, 2014

Kickstarter is trash. Between this POS and the Radiate scam I'm done with the whole crowdfunding thing.

    23. maarten on July 21, 2014

Maybe Kickstarter can mark projects as funded and failed and others as funded and successfull based on an inquiry after delivery of whatever the projects was suposed to deliver.

    25. Tim on May 5, 2014

I'd advise people not to try and fix flaked off number/logo problems themselves. I wasn't able to remove the final pin to allow removal and then access to watch face. Was quoted £50 to fix it at a watch shop. A real shame!

    26. Michael Cameron (deleted) on May 5, 2014

My NFNT logo (F letter and infinity symbol/8) fell off and 3 emails, other than the automated response, have gone unanswered. I decided I'd open it up myself and fix it, only to discover that the back casing had split. Loved the watch for the couple of months that it lasted

Try to contact them on the web site nothing... All the numbers and logo or gone....

    28. iamtheceo on April 27, 2014

This and the Radiate Athletics projects are the two worst I have backed. Awful communication. Horrible product from NFNT. If I wanted to buy a broken watch I could have got one for a lot less than $110. I'd like a new watch that's not defective or a refund. I can't believe I was sent two garbage watches and I had to pay international shipping to send one back.

Arlan Bouwman on April 24, 2014

Same here guys. I loved my watch until the logo fell of, and now the clasp broke as well. I've been mailing and tweeting for months, but no response.

      Too bad, could've ended differently.

    30. maarten on April 23, 2014

Hi Dave, I feel you. Tried to contact them here, on Facebook and through there warranty (how ironic) email for months now without success. I can't even hear the mail mahalo anymore.

    31. Dave Gauntley on April 22, 2014

I loved my watch for the couple of months of use I got out of it.

Then the NFNT logo fell off and wedged over one of the numbers.

I emailed re: warranty, and heard nothing, I moaned via twitter...'you'll hear in 2-3 days' well that was over a month ago. I suspect it would cost more to ship back and have it repaired, than to buy a new one. I'm leaning towards trying to fix it myself but that's a pain, about the only way I'm leaving this as a happy customer is one appearing in my letter box without me having to pay the import tax!

    32. iamtheceo on March 20, 2014

This was the worst kickstarter project that I have backed to date. The product was executed so poorly that it arrived broken to many people. The best part was that I was told to send the watch back for a replacement and they sent me a watch that was worse than the first. So after my initial $70 I got to waste an additional $40, on shipping, to get an even bigger piece of garbage. NFNT just so you know your materials, design, and even the stupid wood box were all junk. Thank god I don't have to get any more of your stupid "Mahalo" emails.

    33. maarten on March 19, 2014

I don't know how expensive it is for you guys to send a whatch to Europe but if I send it to you for repairs it is going to cost my as good as the same amount as the 55 USD I pledged. Let alone the hustle I had to go throug of getting it trhough customs.

Any other options on how I can get a whatch without the hour marker that fell off without having to pay the same price as the intial pledge?

I asked this through facebook and in a personal message on Kickstarter but never got an answer.

Loved the watch for all of 2 weeks and then it cracked right where the first link attaches to the watch face. I could understand if it had been yanked or dropped but the watch was well looked after and I didn't even allow people to touch it. If it had of been one of the links I could of just removed it but sadly its not possible. I would of complained or something ages ago but just put it down to the wood being way too soft for a functional watch.
I will defo use it again if I can be bothered to attempt a fix on it.
Overall its a good looking watch but definitely not for regular use!

A bunch of my stuff starting falling off, both N's from logo and a few of the time pieces. A suggestion would be to have those items burned in like the back panel. Then you don't have to worry about glue.

    37. NFNT Creator on February 17, 2014

@Didier - We would love to have another project (and have had one in the works for quite some time), however, we're trying to take care of all of our backers from this project, as many have had issues with their watches.

    38. iamtheceo on February 11, 2014

So I finally got a replacement watch delivered to me today, too bad one of the number markers had already fallen off and the watch looks worse than the one I sent back. Thank you NFNT for letting me waste an additional $40 to ship the watch back to you.

@Evan, we're in the process of responding to all the messages. We were in China working with manufacturers to improve the quality of the watches. Sorry for the inconvenience!

    46. Evan Kok on October 16, 2013

Has anyone received messages or heard from these guys? I sent a faulty watch back weeks ago and despite emailing, sending Facebook and kickstarter PM's, I've heard nothing. Very poor service in my opinion. Seems like I'll never see that watch again.

    47. iamtheceo on September 19, 2013

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering how many people received watches where the silver on all the numbers was peeling off?

@PHNX Boards - nice write up. And I still continue to get comments when I'm wearing the watches (I got both 42s and 50s). I have 60+ watches and I try to rotate through them all wearing a different one every day. But since I got them, my Woodys have jumped ahead into the rotation a few extra times as they are just so unique and enjoyable to wear. I really love how light they are. It's so interesting to not feel any sensation of wearing a watch when wearing the Woody. BTW, on your comment about buying another one if it stopped working after your accidental dunking. I know what you mean. I actually got quite a few extras. Some for gifts, but still a couple of extras of each size just for me. I just had a feeling the watches would be special and thought I should have some backups just in case. Now I'm so glad I did as the are definitely special. I'm not sure what NFNT will do next, but there will always only be one original KickStarter Big Face Woody!!!

And no question NFNT did a great job on the project especially considering it went from one 50mm no date style to 6 total styles, a significant increase in the complexity to manage. Yes, for those who have issues I know NFNT will come through for you.

      Thanks again NFNT!!!!!
