On the Bright Side of Things

Dear Community,

As most of you are aware at this point, our Kickstarter was unsuccessful. Before it went up, not a lot of people knew about us or even that there was a sequel to Insurgency in development.

This is why we're trying to look at this in a positive light.. Our community has grown tremendously since the start of our Kickstarter, and we are actively talking to interested investors. Certainly our appearance at PAX didn't hurt.

We received great feedback from the people who played the game at PAX, and we had a productive technical support meeting at Valve where they also got to see our game and give us feedback. We have some new lighting features they're helping us implement, which will give our game a nice face lift.

We are only a couple months away from starting our pre-order campaign on Steam, where we will offer a combined pre-order and access to our closed beta. In the mean-time if you think you are interested in becoming an alpha tester and you're willing to sign an NDA, we are now accepting applications again. Please send all applications as a message to New World Interactive through Kickstarter.

We don't plan on doing another Kickstarter campaign. The previous campaign was a large distraction for us, so it would be our preference to find investment dollars elsewhere so we can remain focused for the rest of development.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Jeremy Blum

Weird, I didn't even see your booth at PAX, I would have loved to try it out! So don't you have a working alpha at this point? You could always go the Notch route and just sell it in its current state and offer updates for free.
