Citadel of Terror is a Fantasy RPG adventure module written by Paul Riegel-Green and Ben Burns for Fifth Edition (5E) and also converted to be used in 1st/2nd Edition games. This adventure takes place in a new fantasy setting, The World of Darknoth, being released by New Comet Games later this year. Citadel of Terror can also work in any setting.
Spring time has arrived, the fields planted, the trade routes are opening and the Orc raids will be coming soon. It also means the arrival of the mysterious but powerful mage Melius. But this year, he has yet to make his appearance. What chance does the small city of Adwick have against the ravaging hordes of Orcs without the wizard's assistance. Every day that slips by, causes the leaders worry and concern.
You and your small band of adventurers have been tasked with traveling through the abandoned ruins of Rochdale, then into the swamp known as The Moors. To seek out Melius' tower and discover what has become of the wizard. What evils lurk in the ruins? What dangers will The Moors hide? What will you find at the Citadel of Terror?
Citadel of Terror is a starting adventure module for 4-8 players of level 1-4, written by Paul Riegal-Green. The adventure is set in the Kingdom of Addenshire, on the continent of Draconia, in the World of Darknoth. Darknoth is a dark and dangerous world, born from the ashes of all that has come before and been destroyed.
The Kingdom of Addenshire. The kingdom, continent and world maps all created by the very talented Cornelia Yoder.
To get more information about the Kingdom of Addenshire, be sure to select a Hero Reward Tier or higher, to include the Addenshire Gazetteer in your rewards. The Gazetteer provides an initial look at the description and background for the Kingdom, providing special information for the area surrounding the city of Adwick for a more in depth experience for your players. The Gazatteer will be written by Gary Van Binsbergen, creator of the World of Darknoth.
Citadel of Terror features the outstanding art work of Teresa Guido.
Join us today on this exciting journey we will be taking together into this new world of Dragons, Demons, and Magic.
The Citadel of Terror adventure is complete, except for any stretch goals reached. The artwork, maps and final layout are not yet finalized. We expect the book to be between 50 to 100 pages when complete, based on the number of stretch goals reached.
Thank you for your Support.
We will be using Backerkit to collect shipping. This does 2 things for us. 1. We can be much more accurate on our shipping so we do not overcharge you. And we don't take the double hit of both Kickstarter and Backerkit taking their cut of the shipping money. Note that if you order a Banner they will be shipping directly to you from Vista Print, separate from the rest of your rewards.

Risks and challenges
There is almost no risk to this project. The only real chance for any significant delays would be real life tragedy.
The adventure is already finished. The cover art is complete and the artist is already working on the internal art. Our cartographer is ready to start on the maps as soon as we reach that stretch goal.
We have published many other modules before this one, so we are very familiar with the process, and do not expect any surprises. We have run many successful Kickstarters before this one. All have either delivered on time or are currently on schedule. Several of our Kickstarters have even delivered early.
We look forward to completing this project with the same efficiency and quality that we put forward with all our projects.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
