Sharing our works with others is one of our main missions here at Neville Dance Theatre, and that is why WE ARE SO EXCITED that our repertory piece 'Under the Bridge' HAS BEEN SELECTED to be presented at this years DUMBO DANCE Festival on Saturday, September 29th. A piece about one's ability to persevere in the face of unrelenting adversity, it brings contemporary and modern dance elements together into a powerfully moving piece set to music by Nirvana.
The DUMBO DANCE Festival is a FREE, annual festival in Brooklyn, NY and draws a large and diverse audience from both the New York and surrounding areas. Being selected to participate is A UNIQUE AND IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY because it directly enables us to bring the artistry of both our repertory and contemporary/ multicultural dance to a GREATER AND MORE DIVERSE AUDIENCE (as well as the all time elusive critics, press and industry professionals).
Participating in a fully produced festival costs only a fraction of what it would take to otherwise self-produce on our own. The catch, however, - there is no compensation what-so-ever provided to the artists (us) for participating...which means:
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to help with the costs incurred from studio rental fees, promotional expenses, and artist fees, so that we can BRING THIS EXCITING WORK BACK TO THE STAGE once again! We hope you'll help us with this goal by becoming an active backer and participant in our project!
