Frequently Asked Questions
You're able to save all of your characters, scenes, and videos to your profile on NeverEnding. You can also download them - and you never lose access to your DLC. If your subscription expires and you decide not to renew, you'll still have access to all of your creations directly on NeverEnding! You can still make changes to your profile and you can still decide what to share publicly or privately.
If you renew later (whether for a month or a year), you'll be able to pick up right where you left off!Last updated:
Our funding needs are primarily for art. Our artists need to be paid, but our development team and other team members have been working on NeverEnding without pay for months. We’re all committed to continuing to do so. However, our artists work freelance, so if they’re spending time making art for NeverEnding, it means NOT pending time on other paid projects.
We still have some cash in the bank and other money potentially coming in. So if we make a lot more than the $17,300 we can produce more art and/or bring on another developer or two. That would mean making NeverEnding even better AND getting it to you faster. So, I hope you back us so we can make that happen!Last updated:
If you're continuing to create art and work on the web app, why do I need to back you? Shouldn't I just wait till it's created?
The cold, hard reality is that the entire team is working on this while doing other things to pay the bills and feed ourselves and families.
Will we continue working on NeverEnding if you don't support us and the Kickstarter fails? Yes. Because this is important and we want to make this for you to make your games and podcasts Cooler. BUT, it'll also be harder. It'll take more time. And it won't be quite as amazing.
We 100% need your support - especially to pay our art team and our programmers! The amount of work that goes into crafting the character components the armors, backgrounds, props - everything... it's huge. It's the same for our programmers - example, Francis is usually coding until like 2 am, 7 days a week! Every person on our team is putting so much into making NeverEnding, because we believe that's it's important and we want to make it. All of us are skipping some sleep and family time to build NeverEnding for you. To have this many people this passionate about NeverEnding and excited by its potential... it really is humbling.
Obviously, we'd like to be able to pay people more for their time, so we can have more of it and be able to launch with all of the cool features you want.
The more support you can give us and the more people you send our way - the more art and features we can give you in return.
So, please back us! Please tell your friends. We'd appreciate it. Thank you. :)Last updated:
Support us because you believe in this project and want to have a voice in how it's made, so you can use it. Also back it to get early access, get it cheaper AND because we're throwing in exclusive art Just for backers FOR FREE when we launch. ;)Last updated:
As the NeverEnding app evolves we'll quickly be adding options for lots of genres of games. In fact, we already have stretch goals on the list that will be expanding your options! (We just need you to help get us to those stretch goals.)
When the full platform launches in June, after Beta testing by our early backers, we'll have some Gothic horror an sci-fi options available. We will continue to support and add more options.Last updated:
Yes. For example, we'll be introducing manga style as well as more realistic and mature styles. We expect our community artists will be adding their own work, and you always have the option to upload your own art, too. We had to start somewhere and our current cartoon style makes life easier on our art and development team. Expect us to begin rolling out new looks within the first year (sooner if more artists join the community store front).Last updated:
Our goal is to support a variety of RPG settings, artists, and art styles. At the most basic level, if you have your own art, you can upload it into NeverEnding for your exclusive use in the app. That'll make scenes you build and animatics you create even more unique and personal.
If you want your art or art style more widely available, we're creating a way for you to do that.
Independent artists and RPG publishers will be able to and sell their own art packs in our community store front. This will include character components, items, creatures, and props!
If you're a very small publisher or want our help, we can even work with you on the creation of those art packs so fans of your world can enjoy even more adventures!Last updated:
It sounds like there will be a marketplace place for artist to sell their own art and designs. Is that correct?
NeverEnding is being designed with a Community Store Front - where you'll have access to downloadable content created by a wide array of artists. It's important to us to be a vehicle for artists to expand their reach, while also giving you access to way more content.
So, if you're an artist, NeverEnding will be a tool for you to create new things with your art - And a place where you can sell your art.Last updated:
NeverEnding is not just for kids. Not at all. We've started with a more accessible and clean cartoon style. Why? Because it's an easier place to start and allows us to create a huge library of art as a base to start from. Expect more options, allowing you to create the stories you have in your head the way you see them.Last updated:
Probably not. We waffled a lot on even having this in the Kickstarter, because a lifetime membership will be expensive for us to maintain. If you're interested in this option - get it now, if you can.Last updated:
As a web app, you'll be able to use NeverEnding on your desktop/laptop, and you'll also be able to use it on any Android or iOS device!Last updated:
I'm going to give you the WHOLE LIST:
We're getting more active on Discord and Reddit, so feel free to ask questions there!
As you can imagine there's a lot of work to be done and we haven't stopped creating art and developing the platform, just because the Kickstarter is going on. So, have patience with us as we try to reply as fast as we can.Last updated:
