WEEK ONE WRAP-UP!

Hello everyone!

What a first week – we were really quite surprised and flattered that so many of you would help us hit our goal so quickly, and then to hit our first stretch goal just two days later…? Unbelievable. (And we’re soooo close to hitting the next stretch goal, to add 32 more pages! Tell your friends to help us get there, and we’ll all benefit!) You kind people are definitely the BEST, and we promise to make the best book possible for you!

Before launching the campaign, we gave away a free 28page PDF sampler of LRNZ’s work featuring an assortment of pieces that might be included in the final book. But then it occurred to us that we hadn’t included that link in the campaign itself!

So we made some adjustments to the file, expanded it to 30 pages, and put it up on Noisetrade.com for you to download for FREE! Just go to this link to get it today:

Books.NoiseTrade.com/neurobellum/lrnz-viewpoint-sample

(You’ll also notice a FREE sampler of LRNZ’s GOLEM available for download, too… if you haven't seen GOLEM yet, check it out too! And if you like what you see, the full 280 page graphic novel is now available as a collected softcover from Magnetic Press, or digitally through comiXology. And both editions are included in certain reward tiers of this very campaign!)

If you don’t want to download the Viewpoint sampler to your computer, you can also flip through it with any online web browser via https://issuu.com/magneticpress. While you're there, feel free to check out back issues of our monthly Ambassadors Club magazine while you’re at it! (Then join the club!)

Have you seen THE NOSTALGIST yet?

This stunning, award-winning short film by Giacomo Cimini, based on the short story by Daniel H. Wilson (author of “Robopocalypse" and "How to Survive a Robot Uprising”), features some mind-bending, virtual-reality defining concepts, brought to visual realization by LRNZ! He not only provided key concept design for the boy robot, but also some incredibly evocative promotional illustrations for the film, including the official poster.  You can now watch the entire short film for FREE at WIRED’s website and Youtube channel (embedded below)!

LRNZ has been quite busy this past week, not just trying to keep up with this campaign, but with events at Fox Gallery in Rome, Italy. Besides featuring an exhibit of original works, they will also be hosting a Live Painting event on Thursday June 23rd! If you’re lucky enough to be in Rome this Thursday, stop by and check it out!

We’d like to wrap up such a wonderful Week One by giving backers a FREE download of one of LRNZ’s layered PSD files, so that you can take a look inside some of his technical process. This digital download link will be offered exclusively to backers in a Backers-Only update to be posted next very shortly. If you’d like to see how the magic is performed, become a backer today!
