The final week! New artists added and "a la carte" extras!
It's the final countdown -- one week left! And we are SO CLOSE! It's been a real nail-biter so far, but we've hit the 100 backer milestone and can see the front of the pack from here. Just a few more leaps and we're solid! Please keep spreading the word!
We're not slowing down, in fact we're ADDING more awesomeness as we go along. We realize some of our original tier pricing was slightly off, so we've decided to price out "a la carte" items, in case you'd like to supplement your reward package with some extra stuff. Or you can even build your own reward package if you'd like, piece by piece! Up to you. Prices breakdown as follows:
- Logo stickers: $5
- Keychain: $8
- Sunglasses: $8
- Retro movie poster: $10
- Softcover book: $15
- Hardcover book: $20
- WSLR Tshirt: $20
- Original Sketch: $100
- Original Page: $150
- ...and for anyone at the $500 level, you can add extra original pages to your 5pg package at $100 per page. So for example, you can get 8 pages total for an extra $300 on top of the $500 base price, or $800 total pledge).
To add an item to your package, simply increase your pledge by the appropriate amount for the additional items you'd like, then message us with those add-on requests, and we'll include them when shipping your reward. If you have any questions or find any of this confusing, please feel free to message us and we'll clarify as quickly and thoroughly as we can!
We're also adding to the roster of amazing guest artists!
You may have caught our tweet or Facebook post yesterday showing off the awesome movie poster by MICHAEL O'HARE (Birds of Prey, He-man), but if not, check it out!
We've also confirmed pieces from FEDERICO DALLOCCHIO (Suicide Squad, Hawken) and BRENT MCKEE (the new Bowery Boys hardcover from Dark Horse, out now!) We'll spotlight them both shortly, but first a look at some of the other super-stars on board:
MICHAEL O'HARE (guest)
Michael O'Hare is an artist living in Los Angeles with a passion for toys, comics, and design. His primary job has been designing toys for companies such as Hasbro, and is currently working for Spin Master. He has illustrated issues of BIRDS OF PREY and HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE for DC, as well as various pieces for ARMY OF DARKNESS and an issue of HAWKEN:MELEE.
ZACH HOWARD (guest)
Zach Howard lives in Denver Colorado, building an Empire of Awesomeness piece by piece. An avid sketcher growing up, his first major work was on a backup short in SUGARBUZZ from Slave Labor, followed by THE CLOCKMAKER and HEAVEN'S DEVILS for Image Comics. A handful of books for DC followed, including NIGHTWING and SCARECROW: YEAR ONE before he started picking up projects from IDW, including SHAUN OF THE DEAD, ANGEL: OLD FRIENDS, STAR TREK, and his original creation OUTER ORBIT with Sean Gordon Murphy.
After a run on Dark Horse's ALIENS, he hit the bigtime with Joe Hill's THE CAPE, which earned an Eisner nomination for Best Single Issue in 2010 and a Spike TV Scream Award. This led to numerous covers for projects such as GODZILLA, TMNT, JUDGE DREDD, GI JOE, and other projects, including BLEEDOUT written by Mike Kennedy.
He has since formed Noble Transmission with partners Austin Harrison and writer Mike Raicht, developing original titles in a creator-owned library that includes their best-selling WILD BLUE YONDER, which was originally published by IDW and is being developed by Intel into a digital interactive experience using their RealSense 3D motion-tracking technology.
BRYNDON EVERETT (guest)
Bryndon Everett is an illustrator and animator living in Idaho Falls with his wife and new baby, pouring whatever spare energy not spent on commercial work into his love for comics. He began his career as a commercial illustrator, boarding ads and designing spot pieces and personal commissions, which led to the independent graphic novel SHOGUN RISING.
From there he hopped over to American Dream Labs, where he picked up a taste for animating, all while contributing pieces to various projects such as THE WORLD OF CASSYNO world book.
He is currently working on various top secret projects while also chipping away at his own original graphic novel, tentatively titled ADRIFT, which will undoubtedly be worth the wait.
DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON (guest)
Daniel Warren Johnson is a Chicago-based illustrator who is unintentionally raising the bar, not only for visual storytelling but for being one of the nicest guys on Earth. He has worked for numerous advertising clients over the years, all the while generating his magnum opus webcomic SPACE-MULLET.
This led to his role illustrating THE GHOST FLEET with writer Donny Cates for Dark Horse, which itself led to a publishing deal for SPACE-MULLET at Dark Horse and his current project that he can't talk about just yet.
On top of that, he took a short break from Space-Mullet to post an absolutely AMAZING Star Wars fan comic called GREEN LEADER, which tells the story of the A-Wing pilot who took down that super star destroyer in Return of the Jedi. It's beautiful. Check it out here.
While you're there, if you haven't read SPACE-MULLET yet, you owe it to yourself to fix that pronto. The printed collection will be a must-buy.
