About this project
Our innovative 9-step process takes municipal tap water and purifies it until there is virtually nothing left except for pure H2O, allowing us to achieve levels of purity and clarity that were previously unattainable. Our water has less than 10ppm (Parts per Million) of dissolved solids and less than 1ppm of dissolved oxygen. Due to it's purity, Tudor Ice adds absolutely nothing to the drink. Now you will be able to taste your spirit exactly as the producer intended with minimal dilution and maximum chill.
The team designed the Tudor Ice Block to be 2.25" squared. Considering this, a single large cube is used per beverage instead of many smaller cubes. As such, Tudor Ice is slower-melting due it's favorable Surface-Area-to-Volume-Ratio.
A significant amount of time and effort was also invested in developing new methods to remove excess oxygen in the water prior to sealing. This allows the ice to freeze more dense and minimizes cloudiness.
Some studies have shown that water from the toilets in the restrooms is cleaner than that of the ice bins. Since each serving of Tudor Ice is individually packaged and the containers are single-use, the team has removed virtually all risks of contamination. With Tudor Ice, your drinks will be clean every time.

Just like the ice Frederic Tudor harvested from the lakes and ponds of New England, we are very proud to say that the Tudor Ice Block was deigned and is manufactured right here in the good, old US-of-A.
We know people are passionate about cocktails across the globe and are proud to ship our product internationally. Sadly, we are NOT able to deliver Tudor Ice to the following countries: Balkans, Belarus, Burma, Ivory Coast, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and Zimbabwe. Please note, there is an added cost for shipping for all international orders. All duties, fees and taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Delivery of Tudor Ice is expected in April 2016. While we expect to be able to meet this delivery date, we may encounter delays in our production. Updates regarding our targeted shipping date will be provided regularly via the Kickstarter “Updates” page.
Our founder, Frederic Tudor, changed the world in 1806, shipping ice from the frozen ponds and lakes of New England to the Caribbean, and eventually the rest of the world. It wasn't an easy journey, filled with trials and tribulations, but along the way he innovated and used the latest technology of his time to improve the way ice was harvested, transported and stored. He enabled people to live heather and more satisfying and in so doing earned the title "The Ice King".

Risks and challenges
PRODUCTION TIMELINE – As with any newly developed technology, there are typically delays in products that may be unanticipated. Rest assured, however, we have the right team and partners to work through any issues to ensure delays are kept at a minimum. Since virtually all of the development work is complete there should be very few surprises at this point. If there are any changes to the schedule, the team will be posting updates to the Kickstarter campaign page.
PRODUCT ADJUSTMENTS: As we fine-tune our processes, there may be minor variations to the final product. This would include both aesthetic and functional changes. While our current MVP is effective, there are ways it can be improved. These include making it larger and leveraging a thicker plastic material to minimize heat distortion during filling. We are going to be working closely with our materials and equipment partners to incorporate these needed adjustments. Will make sure to let every backer know exactly what changes are made to the final product and why.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
