We are extremely excited about recording our debut E.P in March and can't take this step without your support. Read on to find out how you can help, or check out our video!
Nérija are a collective of up and coming, London-based musicians playing exciting and original music inspired by Jazz, Hip Hop, Afrobeat and Hi-life. Together we have toured across Europe and the UK in addition to performing alongside top UK jazz musicians such as Nathaniel Facey of Empirical, pianist Zoe Rahman, and supporting Jazz Jamaica at the renowned Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
Our recent performances include UK festivals A Love Supreme, Latitude, Brainchild, Manchester Jazz Festival, Jazz Re:Fest and EFG London Jazz Festival. At the end of 2015, we also had the incredible opportunity to support Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Our Manchester Jazz Festival set was featured on BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM and we are very much looking forward to adding to our ventures through our E.P.

At the end of March we will be spending three days at the incredible Henwood Studios in Oxford to record our debut E.P. As exciting as this is, we need to raise funds to put towards booking the studio, the engineer, mixing and mastering and CD production. (Vinyl production is but a dream right now, but who knows hopefully in future we can press some..!) We have put together a budget and Kickstarter campaign to help us reach our £2,000 goal.
After a year and a half of gigging across the UK and Europe, we are finally heading into the studio to put together a collection of some of the tunes we have written so far.
As much as we love performing live, we really want to push ourselves to the next level and release a professional recording.
We have so much to share with you but as we are independently releasing this E.P - we need your help to do it.
Whether you can donate to our project or share our campaign video - every little helps!
Risks and challenges
Although Kickstarter is the best platform for independent artists, there is one catch: there is a possibility that we may not be able to fund our album if we don't reach our goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
