Reigns: The Council is an asymmetric party game for 3-6 people about a monarch seeking harmony in their realm, and their advisors vying to influence them for their own goals.
For their first collaboration, Bruno FAIDUTTI (Citadels, Diamant, Mascarade) and Herve MARLY (The Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow, Skull) have brought Reigns to the world of boardgames as a party game mixing majestic roleplaying, ruse, and strategy.

Risks and challenges
We believe the game itself is already quite polished. We are looking forward to feedback from a larger group of people trying out the Print-&-Play version.
On the production side, the game is relatively simple, a box, a board, lots of cards, a few tokens, which means we will be able to achieve a high level of quality. We are still in the process of getting the final design for the box inserts, but we are working with experienced professionals from the sector so we are quite confident in our capacity to deliver a quality game.
The biggest unknown at this stage is the design of the Collector's Edition, and it is possible that it will take more time than planned, even though we are building some buffers across all our planning. Note that the final look of the rewards may differ from what is presented while the Kickstarter project is active.
One last point that we feel is important to relay is that we are a healthy company, financially speaking. We are purposefully keeping our headcount low, as we want to make fun, quality games, rather than big games, and that means that everything we are undertaking is a low risk for us. We have triple-checked this project budget, and everything should be properly aligned to deliver you and your friends a fun party game!
The campaign goal may seem high compared to other games with a similar scope, but we really want to make sure the game is high quality. Also we do not want to make other board games in the future, so all our expenses are going toward this one unique project we want to bring to life, rather than across a portfolio of projects.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
