$12 PRINT and PLAY version of the HEALING BLADE card game

Due to the overwhelming demand for the Healing Blade card game, we've decided to add a "PRINT and PLAY" version of Healing Blade, available as either an ADD-ON to your original pledge, or for newcomers, available as part of a new tier. When you receive your copy of the Bacterionomicon, you will also be given a link where you can download and print out the cards yourself.

YOU print it out, YOU cut out the cards, and ideally, YOU put them into your own card sleeves. (For those of you unfamiliar with card sleeves, you can get them from pretty much any online gaming store that carries Magic the Gathering, and they're a great solution for printed out cards. I personally prefer KMC MAT black card sleeves, they're very durable.)

Pledge $47
"PRINT and PLAY" [book + PDF of book + PDF of Healing Blade] You will receive a digital download (PDF) of our card game HEALING BLADE which you will have to cut out with scissors and assemble yourself, PLUS hardcover and digital versions of The Bacterionomicon.

ADD-ON: $12
Whatever your current pledge, just increase the amount by $12 to receive a link where you can download the Healing Blade PDF.

Example of a Print and Play page:

And yes, I should take this moment to restate: we are completely SOLD OUT of Healing Blade and will not be reprinting it. (Don't worry, if your pledge tier includes a card game or if you added-on the card game before we announced we were sold out, we set aside inventory for you, you're covered!) Instead of doing a reprint, which would require probably a minimum of about 3000 copies for a reasonable price, we decided to offer the downloadable "print and play" version instead.

I'd totally be in on a Healing Blade Reprint kickstarter! :D

This is going to sound kind of silly, but is it safe to assume that an instructions page will be included with the "Print and Play" download?

Will we be able to add this after the Kickstarter ends via PayPal or something?

So out of curiosity, does this mean that the game itself will NEVER be reprinted again? I seem to recall that earlier in the kickstarter there was some comment in the description about "don't mind the resellers selling the game at exorbitant prices..." which would suggest that, at the time, there were plans to reprint it at some as of yet undertermined point in the future, but which would probably NOT occur in time for the kickstarter. Has this, then, changed? I'm curious mostly because you guys reference there being such a huge demand for the game, which suggests that 3000 copies would indeed sell out quite quickly if produced, which makes the reasoning against reprinting it make a lot less sense. Adding a print and play version as an alternative option or for people who just can't wait is obviously a viable plan either way, for that matter.

Ok. I just confirmed my shipping cost. I paid $3.99 for 6 x (27 card decks) through DrveThru RPG.

      *I'd stop

:3 I'll browse around and If I grab a deck off of there I'll leave a comment here on what the shipping was.

I mean, it would be nice if it *doesn't* triple it, I really hope they don't, not everything is worth $9 shipping, but in this case I could force myself to make an exception since I'm sure of stop caring once the cards got here! xD

Cool, cool. That's not so bad, even if they double the shipping to send something to Australia!

Heck, even if they triple it, $9 wouldn't be a deal-breaker to get a physical copy of it! The cards are so awesome looking!

The shipping cost is super reasonable. If I remember correctly, I paid $2.99 shipping for 6 27 card decks to the US Virgin Islands. That was only about 2 weeks ago.

      o/ I second both suggestions!

n___n This is still cool of you, though. I'll have to see if I can squeeze it in, though to be honest I think if prefer a print copy via DriveThruCards.

Though, I've never used them before. Can anyone shed any light on the typical shipping costs?

Have you considered putting these up on DriveThruCards.com, a print on demand service for nerdy card games and RPG accessories like this?

@Nerdcore - Very cool of you to do this. It brings up a question though. Will those of us who are receiving a physical copy of Healing Blade receive a copy of the pdf version as well? It would be helpful to replace any cards that become damaged over time.
