These guys are VERY exited about our Stunty Dodge Dice!
NEW! Play our Stunty Dodge Dice Flash Game: http://www.stuntydice.tk/
Like you, we got sick and tired of having to roll ordinary 6 sided dice when dodging with our Stunties. Stunty players are the true stars of Blood Bowl and deserve to be treated as such!
These dice represent unmodified Stunty / Titchy dodge rolls (3+ / 2+ respectively) and will drive fear into the heart of your opponents as you speed around the pitch as free as a Snotling! Stare smugly into the eyes of the coach sat opposite as they cry onto their Wood Elf wannabes, watching cheeky face after cheeky face appear on your custom dice.
We know a big part of the game is psychology. And symbolising the constant success of Stunty dodging with a smug little gobbo face on the dice is sure to anger all who dare stand against you.
After many different iterations, working with the master dice-crafters at Chessex to pick the best image for the job, we landed on the following designs for the Pass / Fail sides of our Stunty Dodge Dice.
The Stunty Dodge Dice are made on 19mm cubes (about the same size as a Blood Bowl block die) and the Titchy Dodge Dice are made on 16mm cubes. This makes it easy to distinguish between the two.
We have been through many dice samples and spoken to many different companies about creating our treasures. We are currently planning to get then engraved by Gamestation Inc. They look fantastic and have a really good weight to them. We can, however, with enough fan requests and an order of at least 200, get them made by Chessex (a very popular choice for custom game parts). Either way you can rest assured your engraved wonders will all be top quality!
You sure do! Both dice are available in the default green but can be changed at request for the following:
STUNTY DODGE DICE – Green / Red / White / Wood
TITCHY DODGE DICE – Green / Blue / Red / White / Black / Ivory / Yellow / Trans Red / Trans Blue / Trans Green
This gives you a chance to select a dice to go with a team colour if you are looking for something a bit different!
You greedy little... Uhhhhh, sure... we've got... uhhhhhh. We've got... OOH I know. How about some custom painted minis? Yeah, sure we can do that!
Each pledge of £24 or over will include at least one custom painted Goblin mini, and every pledge of £50 or over will include a custom painted Troll.
Each mini is metal and is custom painted by our incredibly talented artist. Here are the first two off the production line!
We also have Stickers and Pin Badges available to any pledge of £2 or over. Let everybody know that you don't just coach – you coach STUNTY!
Sure, why not!? If we beat our original goal of £900 and make it to the following totals, we will offer plenty more exciting freebies detailed below:
All backers will receive an ultra high quality Stunty Dodge Dice desktop wallpaper crammed full of Gobbos.
All backers will receive a Stunty-themed postcard with their order.
We will add a custom base to each model we send out. Each fig will have a custom flocked (grass) Kickstarter 'K' at their feet.
Name your players! Before shipping your order, we will mail and ask you to name each of your models. We will then paint each base with a name and number!
Spread the word with these Stunty-themed t-shirts.
We will give 3 lucky backers the opportunity to personally customise a gobbo! Give us the colour scheme you want and our talented artist will bring it to life.
3 lucky backers will get their own custom Fantasy Football coach caricature! Send us your handsome mug and we will sketch you up as a team coach - surrounded by Stunties.
We will add more goals as soon as we hit the £1500 mark if it comes to that! Fingers crossed.
Simon Platt: I'm the ideas man behind Stunty Dodge Dice. I've been an avid fan of all things Games Workshop for over 10 years, investing countless hours into vivid Warhammer Quests, epic Necromunda skirmishes and tense Space Hulk missions. But nothing ever hit me like Blood Bowl did. I've been a part of yearly tournaments and leagues for years and always found a way to add something a little different to my team. I built a custom pitch a few years back including dugouts, a scoreboard, turn & re-roll markers and sponsors that folded into a neat case: check it out!
And I was also commissioned to make 3 Street Bowl boards for a Tournament being held in the Midlands. This is how they turned out.
I love expressing my passion for the game through these innovative, if aesthetic customisations. I do paint a lot of minis too, but the quality is nowhere near that of my brother.
I'm a big fan of Kickstarter and the opportunities it provides for people. I've backed a few projects myself over at my personal account: http://www.kickstarter.com/profile/TBOPFalcon
Andrew Platt: I'm the artistic brother! For over 15 years now, I've been painting minis for games such as Warhammer Fantasy, 40K, Warhammer Quest and Gorka Morka. But I've not enjoyed any of them as much as I do Blood Bowl. The tongue-in-cheek style of the game had me hooked when I was young, and painting minis with such character is always a blast. Here are some examples of my latest paint jobs.
I designed the images for the Stunty Dodge Dice, along with all of the colourful Stunty designs you see plastered about this page. I really hope you enjoy my work.
We love Blood Bowl, and we love customising the way we play. We really hope you can help us make these custom dice a reality. Thank you very much for taking the time to read our page and we hope you join us soon.
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk is that Andrew's hands may catch fire with all the minis he has to potentially paint! But fear not as we have many spare pairs of hands on stand-by!
Seriously though we are both incredibly enthusiastic about this project and see any pledge as a huge compliment and as great encouragement. We are excited to get an army of minis painted as well as creating the core purpose of this project - our very own Stunty Dodge Dice. We won't lie, a big part of putting this together is simply to own a few of these suckers ourselves.
