About this project
CrossTalk is the Party Game of Subtle Conversation, where two teams race to guess secret Keywords. Can you slip clues past your opponents and interpret their subtle hints?
CrossTalk was announced as the #1 most anticipated game of 2017 by the Game Boy Geek!
There are three primary mechanisms that make the game unique, and they are central to the gameplay - The Keyword and Private Clues, Public Clues and Guessing, and The Hint Board.
Keyword and Private Clues: Each round, teams select a clue-giver, and those clue-givers are given knowledge of the same secret Keyword. The goal of the clue-givers is to help their teammates guess this Keyword before the other team. The round begins with both clue-givers writing a one-word clue to give their team in private.
Public Clues and Guessing: Then, clue-givers will alternate providing one-word public clues to everyone. But, there is a catch! After your team gives a public clue, the other team, and only the other team, may guess the Keyword. Clue-givers will need to use their private clue to provide context for the future. This will allow them to slip public clues by the other team.
The round ends when one team correctly guesses the Keyword or both teams run out of guesses. Each correct guess, is worth 1 point, and the first team to earn 5 points wins.
The Hint Board: CrossTalk also includes 2 Hint Boards which open up more strategies for experienced players. Plan your clues in advance and communicate concepts, such as Opposite, Combine, Ignore and more!
We want all of our games to be worthy of your collection for outstanding gameplay and high quality components. However, there are some ambitious component upgrades that we would love to include, but cannot reasonably afford without your help.
We're shipping games to our selected distribution partners in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States, who will manage the customs, importing, VAT, and fulfillment duties. This helps keep our shipping prices as low as possible, and it ensures fast, on time deliveries. If you are located in a zone without friendly shipping, then it is possible that your reward will be subject to taxes, customs or other charges.
We're offering a $10 global discount on shipping CrossTalk through this Kickstarter. See our notes below for a breakdown of shipping expenses by destination. You will see these shipping charges automatically added to your pledge through Kickstarter.
ASIA: $2 to China; $6 to Hong Kong and Taiwan; $12 to most other countries
OCEANIA: $6 to Australia; $12 to New Zealand
EUROPE: $2 to UK; $6 to most other countries
Unfortunately, different import and customs laws make it logistically and financially difficult to ship games to certain countries. As a result, we are only shipping this Kickstarter to specific countries. Please feel free to message us through Kickstarter if you have any concerns regarding shipping.
We are excited to offer add-ons during this Kickstarter campaign. They will be shipped along with your Kickstarter rewards and come with the same customs/duty-free shipping as mentioned above.
To purchase an add-on, simply add the applicable amount shown below to your pledge DURING the campaign for each copy you wish to purchase. You will be asked in the Kickstarter survey to indicate which additional games you purchased.
You may purchase up to 5 additional copies of CrossTalk at +$30 per copy (no extra charge for shipping).
During this Kickstarter only, we are also offering Stockpile and Stockpile: Continuing Corruption at 20% off MSRP and free shipping. These games will also be shipped with your Kickstarter rewards. Add +$40 per copy of Stockpile and +$20 per copy of Stockpile: Continuing Corruption you wish to add to your pledge (up to 6 copies).

We love board games, and we have been designing them since we were kids in high school. After college, we launched Nauvoo Games out of nostalgia for our childhood gaming memories and as an outlet to create and dream.
Our goal is to publish games that make memories. To that end, we focus on mechanisms that catalyze interesting decisions and themes that generate curiosity and excitement.
CrossTalk is our rendition of a party game. It's engaging, creative, and light-hearted, while still being packed full of cerebral thinking and reading your opponents and teammates. We hope you support us on this journey, and we are grateful for your support!
Risks and challenges
We are experienced with the manufacturing and fulfillment processes after our Kickstarters for Stockpile and Stockpile: Continuing Corruption, and we know that there are often unexpected obstacles. We promise to meet these challenges with strong work ethic and transparent communication.
Previously, we delivered the rewards for both of our campaigns several months EARLY, and we will do everything in our power to keep our promise of delivering high quality games on time to your doorstep.
At this point, everything is finalized, samples are confirmed, and we are ready to print. Now, all we need is your help to make it happen. Lets work together to make CrossTalk a reality and share great memories around the table together.
